창세기 40장 [ASV]

1. 1 이 일들 뒤에 이집트 왕의 잔 맡은 자와 빵 굽는 자가 자기들의 주(主) 이집트 왕에게 실수를 범하매

   1 And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker offended their lord the king of Egypt.

2. 2 파라오가 자기의 직무 수행자들 중 두 사람 곧 잔 맡은 자들의 우두머리와 빵 굽는 자들의 우두머리에게 노하고

   2 And Pharaoh was wroth against his two officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.

3. 3 그들을 호위대장의 집에 감금하여 감옥에 두었는데 그곳은 요셉을 묶어 둔 곳이더라.

   3 And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.

4. 4 호위대장이 요셉에게 그들을 돌보게 하므로 그가 그들을 섬겼으며 그들은 한동안 감금되어 있었더라.

   4 And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he ministered unto them: and they continued a season in ward.

5. 5 ¶ 그들 곧 감옥에 묶여 있는 이집트 왕의 잔 맡은 자와 빵 굽는 자가 둘 다 각각 꿈을 꾸되 각 사람이 하룻밤 사이에 각자의 꿈 해석대로 꿈을 꾸었더라.

   5 And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream, in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were bound in the prison.

6. 6 아침에 요셉이 그들에게 들어가 그들을 보았는데, 보라, 그들이 슬퍼하므로

   6 And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and saw them, and, behold, they were sad.

7. 7 그가 자기 주인의 집에 감금되어 자기와 함께 있는 파라오의 직무 수행자들에게 물어 이르되, 어찌하여 오늘은 당신들이 그리 슬픈 듯이 보이나이까? 하니

   7 And he asked Pharaohs officers that were with him in ward in his masters house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sad to-day?

8. 8 그들이 그에게 이르되, 우리가 꿈을 꾸었으나 그것을 해석할 자가 없도다, 하매 요셉이 그들에게 이르되, 해석은 하나님께 속하지 아니하나이까? 원하건대 내게 그 꿈들을 고하소서, 하니라.

   8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell it me, I pray you.

9. 9 잔 맡은 시종장이 자기 꿈을 요셉에게 고하며 그에게 이르되, 보라, 내 꿈에 포도나무가 내 앞에 있었는데

   9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;

10. 10 그 포도나무에 세 가지가 있었고 그것은 싹이 난 것 같았으며 꽃들이 피어 그것의 송이들이 익은 포도들을 냈느니라.

    10 and in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, (and) its blossoms shot forth; (and) the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:

11. 11 내 손에 파라오의 잔이 있기에 내가 포도들을 따고 파라오의 잔에 그것들을 짜서 그 잔을 파라오의 손에 드렸노라, 하매

    11 and Pharaohs cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaohs cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaohs hand.

12. 12 요셉이 그에게 이르되, 그 꿈의 해석은 이러하니 세 가지는 사흘이니이다.

    12 And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: the three branches are three days;

13. 13 이제 사흘 안에 파라오가 당신의 머리를 들어 올리고 당신을 당신 자리에 복귀시키리니 당신이 그의 잔 맡은 자였을 때에 하던 방식대로 파라오의 잔을 그의 손에 건네주리이다.

    13 within yet three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head, and restore thee unto thine office: and thou shalt give Pharaohs cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.

14. 14 그러나 당신의 일이 잘되거든 나를 생각하시고 원하건대 내게 친절을 베푸시며 파라오에게 나에 대해 이야기하여 이 집에서 나를 빼내 주소서.

    14 But have me in thy remembrance when it shall be well with thee, and show kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:

15. 15 참으로 나는 히브리 사람들 땅에서 몰래 끌려온 자로서 여기서도 그들이 나를 감옥에 가둘 일은 하나도 행하지 아니하였나이다, 하니라.

    15 for indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.

16. 16 빵 굽는 시종장이 그 해석이 좋은 것을 보고 요셉에게 이르되, 나도 꿈을 꾸었노라. 보라, 흰 바구니 세 개가 내 머리 위에 있었고

    16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, three baskets of white bread were on my head:

17. 17 맨 위에 있는 바구니에는 파라오를 위해 만든 온갖 종류의 구운 음식들이 있었는데 새들이 내 머리 위의 바구니에서 그것들을 먹었느니라, 하매

    17 and in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of baked food for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.

18. 18 요셉이 응답하여 이르되, 그 꿈의 해석은 이러하니 세 바구니는 사흘이니이다.

    18 And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: the three baskets are three days;

19. 19 이제 사흘 안에 파라오가 당신 몸에서 당신의 머리를 베어 들어 올리고 당신을 나무에 매달리니 새들이 당신의 살을 뜯어 먹으리이다, 하니라.

    19 within yet three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.

20. 20 ¶ 셋째 날은 파라오의 생일이었는데 그가 자기의 모든 신하들을 위해 잔치를 베풀며 자기 신하들 가운데서 잔 맡은 시종장의 머리와 빵 굽는 시종장의 머리를 들어 올리니라.

    20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaohs birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and the head of the chief baker among his servants.

21. 21 파라오가 잔 맡은 시종장을 잔을 맡는 그의 직책에 다시 복귀시키매 그가 파라오의 손에 잔을 주었으나

    21 And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaohs hand:

22. 22 파라오가 빵 굽는 시종장은 나무에 매달았으므로 이 일이 요셉이 그들에게 해석한 대로 되었더라.

    22 but he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.

23. 23 그럼에도 잔 맡은 시종장은 요셉을 기억하지 아니하고 그를 잊었더라.

    23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.
