창세기 14장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 At this time Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Kedorlaomer king of Elam and Tidal king of Goiim

   1 시날 왕 아므라벨과 엘라살 왕 아리옥과 엘람 왕 그돌라오멜과 민족들의 왕 디달의 시대에

2. 2 went to war against Bera king of Sodom, Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar).

   2 이들이 소돔 왕 베라와 고모라 왕 비르사와 아드마 왕 시납과 스보임 왕 세메벨과 벨라 곧 소알 왕과 전쟁하였는데

3. 3 All these latter kings joined forces in the Valley of Siddim (the Salt Sea).

   3 이 모든 왕들이 싯딤 골짜기 곧 염해에서 함께 연합하였더라.

4. 4 For twelve years they had been subject to Kedorlaomer, but in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

   4 그 왕들이 열두 해 동안 그돌라오멜을 섬기다가 열셋째 해에 반역하매

5. 5 In the fourteenth year, Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him went out and defeated the Rephaites in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzites in Ham, the Emites in Shaveh Kiriathaim

   5 열넷째 해에 그돌라오멜과 또 그와 함께한 왕들이 와서 아스드롯 가르나임에서 르바 족속을, 함에서 수스 족속을, 샤웨 기랴다임에서 엠 족속을 치고

6. 6 and the Horites in the hill country of Seir, as far as El Paran near the desert.

   6 또 호리 족속을 그들의 산 세일에서 친 뒤 광야 옆에 있는 엘바란에 이르렀더라.

7. 7 Then they turned back and went to En Mishpat (that is, Kadesh), and they conquered the whole territory of the Amalekites, as well as the Amorites who were living in Hazazon Tamar.

   7 또 그들이 되돌아온 뒤 엔미스밧 곧 가데스로 가서 아말렉 족속의 온 지역과 또한 하세손다말에 거하는 아모리 족속을 치매

8. 8 Then the king of Sodom, the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar) marched out and drew up their battle lines in the Valley of Siddim

   8 소돔 왕과 고모라 왕과 아드마 왕과 스보임 왕과 벨라 (곧 소알) 왕이 나가 싯딤 골짜기에서 그들과 싸움을 벌이되

9. 9 against Kedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar and Arioch king of Ellasar--four kings against five.

   9 다섯 왕이 네 왕 곧 엘람 왕 그돌라오멜과 민족들의 왕 디달과 시날 왕 아므라벨과 엘라살 왕 아리옥과 싸움을 벌였더라.

10. 10 Now the Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits, and when the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, some of the men fell into them and the rest fled to the hills.

    10 싯딤 골짜기에는 진흙 구덩이가 많았으므로 소돔과 고모라의 왕들이 도망하다가 거기 빠지고 남은 자들은 산으로 도망하매

11. 11 The four kings seized all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food; then they went away.

    11 저들이 소돔과 고모라의 모든 재물과 그들의 모든 양식을 빼앗아 자기들의 길로 가고

12. 12 They also carried off Abrams nephew Lot and his possessions, since he was living in Sodom.

    12 소돔에 거하는 아브람의 조카 롯과 그의 재물을 취한 뒤 떠났더라.

13. 13 One who had escaped came and reported this to Abram the Hebrew. Now Abram was living near the great trees of Mamre the Amorite, a brother of Eshcol and Aner, all of whom were allied with Abram.

    13 ¶ 도피한 자가 와서 히브리 사람 아브람에게 고하니 이는 그가 아모리 족속 마므레의 평야에 거하였기 때문이더라. 마므레는 에스골의 형제요, 또 아넬의 형제였는데 이들이 아브람과 동맹을 맺었더라.

14. 14 When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan.

    14 아브람이 자기 형제가 포로로 사로잡혔다는 것을 들은 뒤 자기 집에서 태어나 훈련을 받은 종 삼백십팔 명을 무장시켜 단까지 그들을 쫓아갔으며

15. 15 During the night Abram divided his men to attack them and he routed them, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus.

    15 또 그들을 대적하려고 밤에 몸소 자기와 자기 종들을 나누어 그들을 친 뒤 다마스쿠스 왼쪽에 있는 호바까지 그들을 쫓아가서

16. 16 He recovered all the goods and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the other people.

    16 모든 재물을 되찾아 오고 또한 자기 형제 롯과 그의 재물과 또 여인들과 사람들도 되찾아 왔더라.

17. 17 After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the Kings Valley).

    17 ¶ 아브람이 그돌라오멜과 또 그와 함께한 왕들을 살육하고 돌아올 때에 소돔 왕이 샤웨 골짜기 곧 왕의 골짜기에 나와 아브람을 맞이하였고

18. 18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High,

    18 살렘 왕 멜기세덱은 빵과 포도즙을 가지고 나왔는데 그는 지극히 높으신 하나님의 제사장이었더라.

19. 19 and he blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.

    19 그가 아브람을 축복하여 이르되, 하늘과 땅의 소유자 즉 지극히 높으신 하나님의 아브람에게 복이 있을지어다.

20. 20 And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand." Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

    20 네 원수들을 네 손에 넘겨주신 지극히 높으신 하나님을 찬송할지어다, 하매 아브람이 모든 것의 십분의 일을 그에게 주니라.

21. 21 The king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself."

    21 소돔 왕이 아브람에게 이르기를, 사람들은 내게 주고 재물은 네가 가져가라, 하매

22. 22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, and have taken an oath

    22 아브람이 소돔 왕에게 이르되, 내가 하늘과 땅의 소유자 즉 지극히 높으신 하나님 곧 주께 내 손을 들어 맹세하였노니

23. 23 that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the thong of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, I made Abram rich.

    23 이것은 네가 이르기를, 내가 아브람을 부자로 만들었다, 할까 염려하여 내가 실오라기 하나나 신발 끈 하나도 가져가지 아니하며 네게 속한 것은 어떤 것도 내가 가져가지 아니하려 함이라.

24. 24 I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me--to Aner, Eshcol and Mamre. Let them have their share."

    24 다만 청년들이 먹은 것과 나와 함께 간 사람들 곧 아넬과 에스골과 마므레의 몫은 예외이니 그들이 자기 몫을 가져갈 것이니라, 하니라.
