창세기 15장 [킹제임스]

1 After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward."
1 이 일들 뒤에 주의 말씀이 환상 속에서 아브람에게 임하여 이르시되, 아브람아, 두려워하지 말라. 나는 네 방패요, 네가 받을 지극히 큰 보상이니라, 하시니

2 But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?"
2 아브람이 이르되, 주 하나님이여, 무엇을 내게 주려 하시나이까? 나는 아이 없이 지내오며 내 집의 청지기는 다마스쿠스 출신의 이 엘리에셀이니이다, 하고

3 And Abram said, "You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir."
3 또 아브람이 이르되, 보소서, 주께서 내게 씨를 주지 아니하셨으므로, 보소서, 내 집에서 태어난 자가 내 상속자이니이다, 하매

4 Then the word of the LORD came to him: "This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir."
4 보라, 주의 말씀이 그에게 임하여 이르시되, 이 사람은 네 상속자가 아니요, 오직 네 배 속에서 나올 자가 네 상속자가 되리라, 하시니라.

5 He took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars--if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be."
5 그분께서 그를 밖으로 데리고 나가 이르시되, 이제 하늘을 쳐다보고 네가 별들을 셀 수 있거든 세어 보라, 하시며 또 그에게 이르시되, 네 씨가 그와 같으리라, 하시니라.

6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.
6 아브람이 주를 믿으니 그분께서 그것을 그에게 의로 여기시며

7 He also said to him, "I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it."
7 또 그에게 이르시되, 나는 이 땅을 네게 주어 네가 그것을 상속하게 하려고 너를 갈대아 사람들의 우르에서 데리고 나온 주니라, 하시매

8 But Abram said, "O Sovereign LORD, how can I know that I will gain possession of it?"
8 그가 이르되, 주 하나님이여, 내가 그 땅을 상속할 줄을 내가 무엇으로 알리이까? 하니
-
9 So the LORD said to him, "Bring me a heifer, a goat and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon."
9 그분께서 그에게 이르시되, 나를 위해 삼 년 된 암송아지와 삼 년 된 암염소와 삼 년 된 숫양과 산비둘기와 집비둘기 새끼를 가져오라, 하시니라.

10 Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other; the birds, however, he did not cut in half.
10 그가 이 모든 것을 그분께 가져다가 그것들을 한중간에서 둘로 쪼개고 각각의 조각을 서로 마주 보게 놓았으나 새들은 쪼개지 아니하였으며

11 Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away.
11 날짐승들이 그 사체들 위에 내려올 때에 아브람이 그것들을 쫓아내었더라.

12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him.
12 해가 질 때에 깊은 잠이 아브람을 덮치고, 보라, 큰 어둠의 공포가 그를 덮쳤는데

13 Then the LORD said to him, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.
13 그분께서 아브람에게 이르시되, 이것을 확실히 알라. 즉 네 씨가 자기들의 소유가 아닌 땅에서 나그네가 되어 그 땅 사람들을 섬기겠고 그 사람들이 사백 년 동안 그들을 괴롭히리라.

14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions.
14 그들이 섬길 그 민족을 내가 또한 심판하리니 그 뒤에 그들이 큰 재산을 가지고 나오리라.

15 You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a good old age.
15 너는 평안히 네 조상들에게 가겠고 충분히 나이 들어 묻힐 것이나
-
16 In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure."
16 그들은 네 번째 세대의 때에 여기로 다시 오리니 이는 아모리 족속의 불법이 아직 가득 차지 아니하였기 때문이라, 하시니라.

17 When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking firepot with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the pieces.
17 해가 져서 어두울 때에 연기 나는 화로가 보이고 타오르는 횃불이 그 조각들 사이로 지나갔는데

18 On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, "To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates--
18 바로 그날에 주께서 아브람과 언약을 맺으며 이르시되, 내가 이 땅을 이집트 강에서부터 그 큰 강 곧 유프라테스 강까지 네 씨에게 주었노니

19 the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
19 즉 겐 족속과 그니스 족속과 갓몬 족속과
-
20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,
20 헷 족속과 브리스 족속과 르바 족속과
-
21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites."
21 아모리 족속과 가나안 족속과 기르가스 족속과 여부스 족속의 땅이니라, 하시니라.
