창세기 28장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 So Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him and commanded him: "Do not marry a Canaanite woman.

   1 이삭이 야곱을 불러 그를 축복하고 그에게 명하며 그에게 이르되, 너는 가나안의 딸들 중에서 아내를 취하지 말고

2. 2 Go at once to Paddan Aram, to the house of your mothers father Bethuel. Take a wife for yourself there, from among the daughters of Laban, your mothers brother.

   2 일어나 밧단아람으로 가서 네 외조부 브두엘의 집에 이르러 거기서 네 외삼촌 라반의 딸들 중에서 아내를 취하라.

3. 3 May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your numbers until you become a community of peoples.

   3 하나님 곧 전능자께서 네게 복을 주셔서 너를 다산하게 하고 번성하게 하사 네가 수많은 백성이 되게 하시며

4. 4 May he give you and your descendants the blessing given to Abraham, so that you may take possession of the land where you now live as an alien, the land God gave to Abraham."

   4 아브라함의 복을 네게 주시되 너와 또 너와 함께하는 네 씨에게 주사 하나님께서 아브라함에게 주신 땅 곧 네가 나그네로 있는 땅을 네가 상속받게 하시기를 원하노라, 하니라.

5. 5 Then Isaac sent Jacob on his way, and he went to Paddan Aram, to Laban son of Bethuel the Aramean, the brother of Rebekah, who was the mother of Jacob and Esau.

   5 이삭이 야곱을 보내매 야곱이 밧단아람에 있는 라반에게로 갔는데 그는 시리아 사람 브두엘의 아들이요, 야곱과 에서의 어머니 리브가의 오라비더라.

6. 6 Now Esau learned that Isaac had blessed Jacob and had sent him to Paddan Aram to take a wife from there, and that when he blessed him he commanded him, "Do not marry a Canaanite woman,"

   6 ¶ 에서가 이삭이 야곱을 축복하며 그를 밧단아람으로 보내어 거기서 아내를 취하게 한 것과 그를 축복하며 그에게 명하여 이르기를, 너는 가나안의 딸들 중에서 아내를 취하지 말라, 한 것을 보았고

7. 7 and that Jacob had obeyed his father and mother and had gone to Paddan Aram.

   7 또 야곱이 자기 아버지와 어머니에게 순종하여 밧단아람으로 간 것을 보았으며

8. 8 Esau then realized how displeasing the Canaanite women were to his father Isaac;

   8 또 가나안의 딸들이 자기 아버지 이삭을 기쁘게 하지 못하는 것을 보았으므로

9. 9 so he went to Ishmael and married Mahalath, the sister of Nebaioth and daughter of Ishmael son of Abraham, in addition to the wives he already had.

   9 그때에 에서가 이스마엘에게 가서 자기에게 있는 아내들 외에 아브라함의 아들 이스마엘의 딸이요, 느바욧의 누이인 마할랏을 취해 자기 아내로 삼았더라.

10. 10 Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Haran.

    10 ¶ 야곱이 브엘세바에서 나가 하란을 향해 가다가

11. 11 When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep.

    11 어떤 곳을 우연히 발견하고는 해가 졌으므로 거기서 온밤을 지냈으며 그가 그곳의 돌들을 가져다가 베개로 삼은 뒤 그곳에서 자려고 누웠더라.

12. 12 He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

    12 그가 꿈을 꾸었는데, 보라, 사다리가 땅 위에 세워졌고 그것의 꼭대기는 하늘에 닿았으며, 보라, 하나님의 천사들이 그 위에서 오르락내리락하더라.

13. 13 There above it stood the LORD, and he said: "I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying.

    13 또, 보라, 주께서 그 위에 서서 이르시되, 나는 주니 곧 네 조상 아브라함의 하나님이요, 이삭의 하나님이니라. 네가 누운 땅을 내가 너와 네 씨에게 주리니

14. 14 Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.

    14 네 씨가 땅의 티끌같이 되어 네가 서쪽과 동쪽과 북쪽과 남쪽으로 널리 퍼질 것이며 너와 네 씨 안에서 땅의 모든 가족들이 복을 받으리라.

15. 15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

    15 또, 보라, 내가 너와 함께하여 네가 가는 모든 곳에서 너를 지키며 다시 이 땅으로 너를 데려오리라. 내가 네게 말한 것을 친히 다 행할 때까지 내가 너를 떠나지 아니하리라, 하시니라.

16. 16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it."

    16 ¶ 야곱이 잠에서 깨어 이르되, 주께서 분명히 이곳에 계시는데 내가 그것을 알지 못하였도다, 하고는

17. 17 He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven."

    17 두려워서 이르되, 이곳은 어찌 그리 두려운가! 이곳은 다름 아닌 하나님의 집이요, 이곳은 하늘의 문이로다, 하고

18. 18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.

    18 야곱이 아침에 일찍 일어나 자기가 베개로 삼았던 돌을 가져다가 기둥으로 세운 뒤 그 위에 기름을 붓고

19. 19 He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz.

    19 그곳의 이름을 벧엘이라 하였으나 처음에 그 도시의 이름은 루스라 불렸더라.

20. 20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, "If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear

    20 야곱이 맹세로 서원하여 이르되, 하나님께서 나와 함께하셔서 내가 가는 이 길에서 나를 지키시고 먹을 빵과 입을 옷을 내게 주사

21. 21 so that I return safely to my fathers house, then the LORD will be my God

    21 내가 평안히 내 아버지 집으로 다시 오게 하시면 주께서 나의 하나님이 되실 것이요,

22. 22 and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be Gods house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth."

    22 내가 기둥으로 세운 이 돌이 하나님의 집이 될 것이며 하나님께서 내게 주실 모든 것에서 십분의 일을 내가 반드시 하나님께 드리겠나이다, 하였더라.
