출애굽기 32장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, "Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we dont know what has happened to him."

   1 모세가 산에서 내려오는 것이 늦추어짐을 백성이 보고는 아론에게로 함께 모여 그에게 이르되, 일어나 우리를 위해 우리 앞에 갈 신들을 만들라. 이 모세 곧 우리를 이집트 땅에서 데리고 올라온 사람에 관하여는 그가 어찌 되었는지 우리가 알지 못하노라, 하니

2. 2 Aaron answered them, "Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me."

   2 아론이 그들에게 이르되, 너희 아내들과 너희 아들딸들의 귀에 있는 금귀고리를 빼서 내게 가져오라, 하매

3. 3 So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron.

   3 온 백성이 자기들 귀에 있는 금귀고리를 빼서 아론에게 가져오니

4. 4 He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt."

   4 그가 그들의 손에서 그것들을 받아 송아지를 부어 만들고 새기는 도구로 그것의 모양을 내매 그들이 이르되, 오 이스라엘아, 이것들이 너를 이집트 땅에서 데리고 올라온 네 신들이니라, 하므로

5. 5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD."

   5 아론이 그것을 보고는 그것 앞에 제단을 쌓고 선포하여 이르되, 내일은 주를 위한 명절이니라, 하니

6. 6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.

   6 다음 날 그들이 일찍 일어나 번제 헌물을 드리고 화평 헌물을 가져오며 백성이 앉아서 먹고 마시며 일어나서 뛰놀더라.

7. 7 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt.

   7 ¶ 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 가라. 너는 내려가라. 네가 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나온 네 백성이 스스로 부패하였느니라.

8. 8 They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said, These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.

   8 그들이 내가 그들에게 명령한 길에서 속히 떠나 자기들을 위해 송아지를 부어 만들고 그것에게 경배하며 그것에게 희생물을 드리고 말하기를, 오 이스라엘아, 이것들이 너를 이집트 땅에서 데리고 올라온 네 신들이니라, 하였도다, 하시고

9. 9 "I have seen these people," the LORD said to Moses, "and they are a stiff-necked people.

   9 또 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 내가 이 백성을 보아 왔는데, 보라, 이 백성은 목이 뻣뻣한 백성이니라.

10. 10 Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation."

    10 그러므로 이제 나를 홀로 내버려두라. 내가 그들에게 맹렬히 진노하여 그들을 소멸시키고 너로부터 큰 민족을 만들리라, 하시니

11. 11 But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God. "O LORD," he said, "why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand?

    11 모세가 주 자기 하나님께 간청하여 이르되, 주여, 주께서 큰 권능과 강력한 손으로 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나오신 주의 백성에게 어찌하여 맹렬히 진노하시나이까?

12. 12 Why should the Egyptians say, It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people.

    12 어찌하여 이집트 사람들이 이르기를, 그가 악한 일을 이루기 위해 그들을 데리고 나와 산에서 그들을 죽이고 지면에서 끊어 소멸시켰다, 하고 말하게 하려 하시나이까? 주의 맹렬한 진노를 그치고 돌아서셔서 주의 백성을 향한 이 해악에 대해 뜻을 돌이키소서.

13. 13 Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever."

    13 주의 종들 곧 아브라함과 이삭과 이스라엘을 기억하소서. 주께서 주 자신을 두고 그들에게 맹세하여 그들에게 말씀하시기를, 내가 너희 씨를 하늘의 별들같이 번성하게 하고 내가 말한 이 온 땅을 너희 씨에게 주어 그들이 영원토록 그 땅을 상속하게 하리라, 하셨나이다, 하매

14. 14 Then the LORD relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.

    14 주께서 자신의 백성에게 행하려고 생각하시던 그 해악에 대해 뜻을 돌이키시니라.

15. 15 Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back.

    15 ¶ 모세가 돌아서서 산에서 내려오는데 두 증언 판이 그의 손에 있었고 그 판들에는 두 면에 글이 쓰여 있되 곧 한 면과 다른 면에 글이 쓰여 있더라.

16. 16 The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.

    16 그 판들은 하나님께서 만드신 것이요, 거기 쓰여 있는 것은 하나님께서 그 판들에 새겨서 쓰신 것이더라.

17. 17 When Joshua heard the noise of the people shouting, he said to Moses, "There is the sound of war in the camp."

    17 백성이 큰 소리를 내므로 여호수아가 그들의 소리를 듣고 모세에게 이르되, 진영에서 전쟁하는 소리가 나나이다, 하니

18. 18 Moses replied: "It is not the sound of victory, it is not the sound of defeat; it is the sound of singing that I hear."

    18 그가 이르되, 그것은 승리하여 외치는 자들의 소리도 아니요, 패배하여 부르짖는 자들의 소리도 아니라. 내가 듣기에는 노래하는 자들의 소리로다, 하더라.

19. 19 When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain.

    19 ¶ 모세가 진영에 가까이 가서 곧바로 그 송아지와 그 춤추는 것을 보고는 맹렬히 분노하여 자기 손에서 그 판들을 던져 산 밑에서 그것들을 깨뜨린 뒤

20. 20 And he took the calf they had made and burned it in the fire; then he ground it to powder, scattered it on the water and made the Israelites drink it.

    20 그들이 만든 송아지를 취해 불에 태우고 그것을 부수어 가루로 만들고는 물에 뿌려 이스라엘 자손이 그것을 마시게 하니라.

21. 21 He said to Aaron, "What did these people do to you, that you led them into such great sin?"

    21 모세가 아론에게 이르되, 이 백성이 네게 무슨 일을 하였기에 네가 그들에게 이렇게 큰 죄를 가져왔느냐? 하니

22. 22 "Do not be angry, my lord," Aaron answered. "You know how prone these people are to evil.

    22 아론이 이르되, 내 주여, 맹렬히 분노하지 마소서. 당신이 이 백성을 아는 바와 같이 그들은 악한 일에 빠진 자들이니이다.

23. 23 They said to me, Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we dont know what has happened to him.

    23 그들이 내게 말하기를, 우리를 위해 우리 앞에 갈 신들을 만들라. 이 모세 곧 우리를 이집트 땅에서 데리고 올라온 사람에 관하여는 그가 어찌 되었는지 우리가 알지 못하노라, 하므로

24. 24 So I told them, Whoever has any gold jewelry, take it off. Then they gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf!"

    24 내가 그들에게 말하기를, 누구든지 금이 있는 자는 그것을 빼라, 하매 그들이 그것을 내게 주기에 내가 그것을 불에 던졌더니 이 송아지가 나왔나이다, 하니라.

25. 25 Moses saw that the people were running wild and that Aaron had let them get out of control and so become a laughingstock to their enemies.

    25 ¶ 모세가 보니 백성이 벌거벗었는데 (이는 아론이 그들을 벌거벗게 하여 그들의 원수들 가운데서 수치거리가 되게 하였기 때문이더라.)

26. 26 So he stood at the entrance to the camp and said, "Whoever is for the LORD, come to me." And all the Levites rallied to him.

    26 이에 모세가 진영 문에 서서 이르되, 누가 주의 편에 속하느냐? 그는 내게로 오라, 하니 레위의 모든 아들들이 그에게로 함께 모이매

27. 27 Then he said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor."

    27 그가 그들에게 이르되, 주 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이같이 말씀하시기를, 각 사람이 허리에 칼을 차고 두루 진영을 문에서 문으로 들락날락하며 각 사람이 자기 형제를, 각 사람이 자기 동료를, 각 사람이 자기 이웃을 죽이라, 하시느니라, 하니

28. 28 The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.

    28 레위 자손이 모세의 말대로 행하매 그 날 백성 중에서 삼천 명가량이 죽으니라.

29. 29 Then Moses said, "You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day."

    29 이는 모세가 이미 이르되, 각 사람이 자기 아들과 자기 형제를 쳐서 오늘 너희 자신을 주께 거룩히 구분하라. 그러면 그분께서 이날 너희에게 복을 주시리라, 하였기 때문이더라.

30. 30 The next day Moses said to the people, "You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin."

    30 ¶ 다음 날 모세가 백성에게 이르되, 너희가 큰 죄를 지었도다. 이제 내가 주께 올라가리니 혹시 너희 죄로 인해 내가 속죄해야 할 수도 있느니라, 하고

31. 31 So Moses went back to the LORD and said, "Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold.

    31 모세가 주께 돌아가 이르되, 오 이 백성이 큰 죄를 짓고 자기들을 위해 금으로 신들을 만들었나이다.

32. 32 But now, please forgive their sin--but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written."

    32 그러나 이제 주께서 그들의 죄를 용서하옵소서. 그러지 아니하시려면 원하건대 주께서 기록하신 주의 책에서 나를 지워 버리소서, 하니

33. 33 The LORD replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book.

    33 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 누구든지 내게 죄를 지으면 내가 그를 내 책에서 지워 버리리라.

34. 34 Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin."

    34 그러므로 이제 가서 내가 네게 말한 곳으로 백성을 인도하라. 보라, 내 천사가 네 앞에 가리라. 그럼에도 불구하고 내가 그들을 찾아가는 날에는 그들의 죄를 그들에게 벌하리라, 하시니라.

35. 35 And the LORD struck the people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made.

    35 주께서 백성에게 재앙을 내리셨으니 이는 그들이 송아지 곧 아론이 만든 송아지를 만들었기 때문이더라.
