창세기 17장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.

   1 아브람이 구십구 세였을 때에 주께서 아브람에게 나타나 그에게 이르시되, 나는 전능자 하나님이니 너는 내 앞에서 걸으며 완전할지니라.

2. 2 I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers."

   2 내가 나와 너 사이에 내 언약을 맺어 너를 심히 번성하게 하리라, 하시매

3. 3 Abram fell facedown, and God said to him,

   3 아브람이 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드리니라. 또 하나님께서 그와 이야기하시며 이르시되,

4. 4 "As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations.

   4 나에 대해 말하자면, 보라, 내 언약이 네게 있으니 너는 많은 민족들의 조상이 될지니라.

5. 5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.

   5 네 이름이 다시는 아브람이라 불리지 아니할 것이요, 네 이름이 아브라함이 되리니 이는 내가 너를 많은 민족들의 조상으로 삼았기 때문이니라.

6. 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.

   6 내가 너를 심히 다산하게 하며 내가 너로부터 민족들을 만들고 너에게서 왕들이 나오게 하리라.

7. 7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

   7 내가 내 언약을 나와 너와 네 뒤를 이을 네 씨 사이에 그들의 대대로 세워 영존하는 언약으로 삼고 너와 네 뒤를 이을 네 씨에게 하나님이 되리라.

8. 8 The whole land of Canaan, where you are now an alien, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God."

   8 내가 너와 네 뒤를 이을 네 씨에게 네가 나그네로 있는 땅 곧 가나안 온 땅을 영존하는 소유로 주고 나는 그들의 하나님이 되리라, 하시니라.

9. 9 Then God said to Abraham, "As for you, you must keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you for the generations to come.

   9 ¶ 또 하나님께서 아브라함에게 이르시되, 그러므로 너는 내 언약을 지킬지니 곧 너와 네 뒤를 이을 네 씨가 그들의 대대로 지킬지니라.

10. 10 This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised.

    10 너희 가운데 모든 사내아이는 할례를 받을지니 이것은 나와 너희와 네 뒤를 이을 네 씨 사이의 언약 곧 너희가 지킬 내 언약이니라.

11. 11 You are to undergo circumcision, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and you.

    11 너희는 너희 포피 살을 베어 내라. 그것이 나와 너희 사이에 있는 언약의 증표가 되리라.

12. 12 For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner--those who are not your offspring.

    12 너희 대대로 모든 사내아이는 집에서 태어난 자든지 또는 네 씨에서 난 자가 아니라 타국인에게서 돈으로 산 자든지 태어난 지 여드레가 되면 너희 가운데서 할례를 받을지니라.

13. 13 Whether born in your household or bought with your money, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh is to be an everlasting covenant.

    13 네 집에서 태어난 자와 네 돈으로 산 자는 반드시 할례를 받아야 하리니 그러면 내 언약이 너희 육체에 있어 영존하는 언약이 되리라.

14. 14 Any uncircumcised male, who has not been circumcised in the flesh, will be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant."

    14 포피 살을 베어 내지 아니하여 할례를 받지 않은 사내아이 곧 그 혼은 자기 백성에게서 끊어지리니 그는 내 언약을 범하였느니라, 하시니라.

15. 15 God also said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you are no longer to call her Sarai; her name will be Sarah.

    15 ¶ 또 하나님께서 아브라함에게 이르시되, 네 아내 사래에 관한 한 너는 그녀의 이름을 사래라 하지 말라. 사라가 그녀의 이름이 되리라.

16. 16 I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her."

    16 내가 그녀에게 복을 주어 그녀를 통해서도 네게 한 아들을 주리라. 참으로 내가 그녀에게 복을 주리니 그녀가 민족들의 어머니가 될 것이며 백성의 왕들이 그녀에게서 나리라, 하시니라.

17. 17 Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, "Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?"

    17 그때에 아브라함이 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드려 웃으며 마음속으로 이르되, 백 세인 사람에게 아이가 태어나리오? 구십 세인 사라가 아이를 낳으리오? 하고

18. 18 And Abraham said to God, "If only Ishmael might live under your blessing!"

    18 아브라함이 하나님께 이르기를, 이스마엘이나 주 앞에서 살기를 원하나이다! 하매

19. 19 Then God said, "Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.

    19 하나님께서 이르시되, 참으로 네 아내 사라가 네게 아들을 낳으리니 너는 그의 이름을 이삭이라 하라. 내가 내 언약을 그와 또 그의 뒤를 이을 그의 씨와 세워 영존하는 언약으로 삼으리라.

20. 20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.

    20 이스마엘에 관하여는 내가 네 말을 들었나니, 보라, 내가 그에게 복을 주었고 그를 다산하게 하며 심히 번성하게 하리라. 그가 열두 통치자를 낳으리니 내가 그를 큰 민족으로 만들리라.

21. 21 But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year."

    21 그러나 내 언약은 내가 내년의 이 정해진 때에 사라가 네게 낳을 이삭과 세우리라, 하시니라.

22. 22 When he had finished speaking with Abraham, God went up from him.

    22 하나님께서 그와 이야기하기를 마치시고 아브라함을 떠나 올라가시니라.

23. 23 On that very day Abraham took his son Ishmael and all those born in his household or bought with his money, every male in his household, and circumcised them, as God told him.

    23 ¶ 아브라함이 하나님께서 자기에게 말씀하신 대로 바로 그날 자기 아들 이스마엘과 자기 집에서 태어난 모든 자와 자기 돈으로 산 모든 자 곧 아브라함의 집 사람들 가운데 모든 남자를 데려다가 그들의 포피 살을 베어 냈는데

24. 24 Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised,

    24 아브라함은 구십구 세에 자기 포피 살에 할례를 받았고

25. 25 and his son Ishmael was thirteen;

    25 그의 아들 이스마엘은 십삼 세에 자기 포피 살에 할례를 받았더라.

26. 26 Abraham and his son Ishmael were both circumcised on that same day.

    26 바로 그날에 아브라함과 그의 아들 이스마엘이 할례를 받았고

27. 27 And every male in Abrahams household, including those born in his household or bought from a foreigner, was circumcised with him.

    27 그의 집의 모든 남자들 곧 집에서 태어난 자들과 타국인에게서 돈으로 산 자들이 그와 함께 할례를 받았더라.
