창세기 2장 [킹제임스]

1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
1 이같이 하늘들과 땅과 그것들의 온 군대가 완성되니라.
-
2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
2 일곱째 날에 하나님께서 자신이 만든 자신의 일을 끝마치시고 자신이 만든 자신의 모든 일에서 떠나 일곱째 날에 안식하시니라.

3 And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
3 하나님께서 일곱째 날을 복되게 하시고 거룩히 구별하셨으니 이는 그날에 하나님께서 자신이 창조하며 만든 자신의 모든 일에서 떠나 안식하셨기 때문이더라.

4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the LORD God made the earth and the heavens--
4 ¶ 땅과 하늘들이 창조된 때 곧 주 하나님께서 그것들을 만드시고
-
5 and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground,
5 들의 모든 초목이 땅에 있기 전에 초목을 만드시며 들의 모든 채소가 자라기 전에 채소를 만드신 날에 하늘들과 땅의 생성물들이 이러하니라. 그때에는 주 하나님께서 땅에 비가 내리지 아니하게 하셨고 땅을 갈 사람도 없었으며

6 but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground--
6 다만 안개가 땅에서 올라와 온 지면을 적셨더라.

7 the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
7 주 하나님께서 땅의 흙으로 사람을 지으시고 생명의 숨을 그의 콧구멍에 불어넣으시니 사람이 살아 있는 혼이 되니라.

8 Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.
8 ¶ 주 하나님께서 동쪽에 있는 에덴에 동산을 세우시고 자신이 지은 남자를 거기 두셨으며
-
9 And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground--trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
9 또 주 하나님께서 보기에 아름답고 먹기에 좋은 모든 나무가 땅에서 자라게 하셨는데 그 동산 한가운데에는 또한 생명나무와 선악을 알게 하는 나무가 있더라.

10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters.
10 한 강이 에덴에서 나와 동산을 적시고 거기서부터 갈라져 네 근원이 되었는데

11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.
11 첫째 강의 이름은 비손이니라. 그것은 금이 있는 하윌라 온 땅을 두르는 강이며

12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.)
12 그 땅의 금은 좋고 거기에는 델리움과 줄마노 보석이 있느니라.

13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush.
13 둘째 강의 이름은 기혼인데 바로 그것은 에티오피아 온 땅을 두르는 강이며

14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Asshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.
14 셋째 강의 이름은 힛데겔인데 그것은 아시리아의 동쪽으로 가는 강이고 넷째 강은 유프라테스니라.

15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.
15 주 하나님께서 남자를 데려다가 에덴동산에 두사 그것을 가꾸고 지키게 하시며

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;
16 주 하나님께서 남자에게 명령하여 이르시되, 동산의 모든 나무에서 나는 것은 네가 마음대로 먹어도 되지만
-
17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
17 선악을 알게 하는 나무에서 나는 것은 먹지 말라. 네가 그 나무에서 나는 것을 먹는 날에 반드시 죽으리라, 하시니라.

18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
18 ¶ 주 하나님께서 이르시되, 남자가 홀로 있는 것이 좋지 아니하니 내가 그를 위해 합당한 조력자를 만들리라, 하시니라.

19 Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.
19 주 하나님께서 들의 모든 짐승과 공중의 모든 날짐승을 땅에서 지으시고 아담이 그것들을 무엇이라 부르는지 보시려고 그것들을 그에게 데려오시니 아담이 모든 살아 있는 창조물을 무엇이라 부르든지 그것이 그 창조물의 이름이 되었더라.

20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.
20 아담이 모든 가축과 공중의 날짐승과 들의 모든 짐승에게 이름을 주었으나 아담을 위해서는 그를 위한 합당한 조력자가 발견되지 아니하였더라.

21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the mans ribs and closed up the place with flesh.
21 주 하나님께서 아담을 깊은 잠에 빠지게 하시니 그가 잠들매 그분께서 그의 갈비뼈 중 하나를 취하시고 그것 대신 그 주변의 살을 메우신 뒤

22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
22 주 하나님께서 남자에게서 취한 그 갈비뼈로 여자를 만드시고 그녀를 남자에게 데려오시니

23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, for she was taken out of man."
23 아담이 이르되, 이는 이제 내 뼈 중의 뼈요, 내 살 중의 살이라. 그녀가 남자에게서 취하여졌으니 여자라 불리리라, 하니라.

24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
24 그러므로 남자가 자기 아버지와 어머니를 떠나 자기 아내와 연합하여 그들이 한 육체가 될지니라.

25 The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
25 그들 곧 그 남자와 그의 아내가 둘 다 벌거벗었으나 부끄러워하지 아니하더라.
