창세기 20장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Now Abraham moved on from there into the region of the Negev and lived between Kadesh and Shur. For a while he stayed in Gerar,

   1 아브라함이 거기서 남쪽 지방으로 이동하여 가데스와 수르 사이에 거하였고 그랄에 체류하였더라.

2. 2 and there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, "She is my sister." Then Abimelech king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her.

   2 아브라함이 자기 아내 사라에 대해 이르기를, 그녀는 내 누이라, 하였으므로 그랄 왕 아비멜렉이 사람을 보내어 사라를 데려갔으나

3. 3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream one night and said to him, "You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman."

   3 밤에 하나님께서 꿈에 아비멜렉에게 가셔서 그에게 이르시되, 보라, 네가 데려온 여인으로 인해 네가 죽은 자가 되었나니 그 여인은 한 남자의 아내니라, 하시니라.

4. 4 Now Abimelech had not gone near her, so he said, "Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation?

   4 그러나 아비멜렉이 그녀에게 가까이 가지 아니하였으므로 그가 이르되, 주여, 주께서 의로운 민족도 죽이려 하시나이까?

5. 5 Did he not say to me, She is my sister, and didnt she also say, He is my brother? I have done this with a clear conscience and clean hands."

   5 그가 내게 이르기를, 그녀는 내 누이라, 하지 아니하였나이까? 그녀도 스스로 이르기를, 그는 내 오라비라, 하였으니 나는 온전한 마음과 무죄한 손으로 이 일을 행하였나이다, 하매

6. 6 Then God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know you did this with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against me. That is why I did not let you touch her.

   6 하나님께서 꿈에 그에게 이르시되, 참으로 네가 온전한 마음으로 이 일을 행한 줄을 내가 아노라. 나 역시 너를 막아 내게 죄를 짓지 아니하게 하였나니 그런 까닭으로 네가 그녀에게 손대는 것을 내가 허락하지 아니하였노라.

7. 7 Now return the mans wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not return her, you may be sure that you and all yours will die."

   7 그러므로 이제 그 남자에게 그의 아내를 돌려주라. 그는 대언자이므로 그가 너를 위해 기도하리니 그러면 네가 살 것이나 만일 네가 그녀를 돌려주지 아니하면 너와 네게 속한 모든 것이 반드시 죽을 줄 너는 알라, 하시니라.

8. 8 Early the next morning Abimelech summoned all his officials, and when he told them all that had happened, they were very much afraid.

   8 그러므로 아비멜렉이 아침에 일찍 일어나 자기의 모든 신하들을 불러 그들의 귀에 이 모든 일을 말하매 그 사람들이 심히 두려워하더라.

9. 9 Then Abimelech called Abraham in and said, "What have you done to us? How have I wronged you that you have brought such great guilt upon me and my kingdom? You have done things to me that should not be done."

   9 그때에 아비멜렉이 아브라함을 불러 그에게 이르되, 네가 우리에게 무슨 일을 하였느냐? 내가 네게 무슨 잘못을 저질렀기에 네가 나와 내 왕국에 큰 죄를 가져왔느냐? 네가 해서는 안 될 일들을 내게 하였느니라, 하고

10. 10 And Abimelech asked Abraham, "What was your reason for doing this?"

    10 또 아비멜렉이 아브라함에게 이르되, 네가 무엇을 보았기에 이 일을 하였느냐? 하니

11. 11 Abraham replied, "I said to myself, There is surely no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.

    11 아브라함이 이르되, 그 까닭은 분명히 이곳에는 하나님을 두려워함이 없으므로 내 아내로 인해 그들이 나를 죽일 줄로 내가 생각하였기 때문이라.

12. 12 Besides, she really is my sister, the daughter of my father though not of my mother; and she became my wife.

    12 더욱이 그녀는 참으로 내 누이니라. 그녀는 내 어머니의 딸은 아니나 내 아버지의 딸로서 내 아내가 되었느니라.

13. 13 And when God had me wander from my fathers household, I said to her, This is how you can show your love to me: Everywhere we go, say of me, "He is my brother." "

    13 하나님께서 나를 내 아버지 집에서 내보내사 떠돌아다니게 하실 때에 내가 그녀에게 이르기를, 우리가 가게 될 모든 곳에서 나에 대해 말하기를, 그는 나의 오라비라, 하라. 이것이 당신이 내게 베풀 친절이니라, 하였노라, 하니

14. 14 Then Abimelech brought sheep and cattle and male and female slaves and gave them to Abraham, and he returned Sarah his wife to him.

    14 아비멜렉이 양들과 소들과 남종들과 여종들을 취해 아브라함에게 주고 그의 아내 사라도 그에게 돌려주며

15. 15 And Abimelech said, "My land is before you; live wherever you like."

    15 아비멜렉이 이르되, 보라, 내 땅이 네 앞에 있으니 네가 기뻐하는 곳에 거하라, 하고

16. 16 To Sarah he said, "I am giving your brother a thousand shekels of silver. This is to cover the offense against you before all who are with you; you are completely vindicated."

    16 사라에게 이르되, 보라, 내가 네 오라비에게 은 천 개를 주었나니, 보라, 그는 너와 함께한 모든 자들과 다른 모든 자들에게 너를 위한 눈가리개니라, 하였더라. 이같이 그녀가 책망을 받았더라.

17. 17 Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, his wife and his slave girls so they could have children again,

    17 ¶ 이에 아브라함이 하나님께 기도하매 하나님께서 아비멜렉과 그의 아내와 그의 여종들을 고치셨으므로 그들이 아이들을 낳았으니

18. 18 for the LORD had closed up every womb in Abimelechs household because of Abrahams wife Sarah.

    18 이는 주께서 아브라함의 아내 사라로 인해 아비멜렉 집의 모든 태를 속히 닫으셨기 때문이더라.
