창세기 25장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah.

   1 그때에 아브라함이 다시 아내를 취하였는데 그녀의 이름은 그두라더라.

2. 2 She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah.

   2 그녀가 그에게 시므란과 욕산과 므단과 미디안과 이스박과 수아를 낳았고

3. 3 Jokshan was the father of Sheba and Dedan; the descendants of Dedan were the Asshurites, the Letushites and the Leummites.

   3 욕산은 세바와 드단을 낳았는데 드단의 아들들은 앗수르 족속과 르두시 족속과 르움미 족속이며

4. 4 The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida and Eldaah. All these were descendants of Keturah.

   4 미디안의 아들들은 에바와 에벨과 하녹과 아비다와 엘다아더라. 이들은 다 그두라의 자손들이더라.

5. 5 Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac.

   5 ¶ 아브라함이 이삭에게 자기가 소유한 모든 것을 주었으나

6. 6 But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east.

   6 아브라함이 소유한 첩들의 아들들에게는 아브라함이 선물을 주고 자기가 아직 살아 있을 때에 그들을 내보내어 자기 아들 이삭을 떠나 동쪽으로 곧 동쪽 지방으로 가게 하였더라.

7. 7 Altogether, Abraham lived a hundred and seventy-five years.

   7 아브라함이 산 삶의 햇수의 날들이 이러하니 곧 백칠십오 년이니라.

8. 8 Then Abraham breathed his last and died at a good old age, an old man and full of years; and he was gathered to his people.

   8 그 뒤에 아브라함이 숨을 거두었더라. 그가 나이가 충분히 들어 늙고 햇수가 차서 죽어 자기 백성에게로 거두어지매

9. 9 His sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah near Mamre, in the field of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite,

   9 그의 아들들인 이삭과 이스마엘이 막벨라 굴에 그를 묻으니라. 이 굴은 헷 족속 소할의 아들 에브론의 밭에 있고 그 밭은 마므레 앞에 있는데

10. 10 the field Abraham had bought from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah.

    10 이것은 아브라함이 헷의 아들들에게서 산 밭이더라. 아브라함과 그의 아내 사라가 거기에 묻혔더라.

11. 11 After Abrahams death, God blessed his son Isaac, who then lived near Beer Lahai Roi.

    11 ¶ 아브라함이 죽은 뒤에 하나님께서 그의 아들 이삭에게 복을 주셨고 이삭은 라해로이 우물곁에 거하였더라.

12. 12 This is the account of Abrahams son Ishmael, whom Sarahs maidservant, Hagar the Egyptian, bore to Abraham.

    12 ¶ 한편 사라의 여종 이집트 사람 하갈이 아브라함에게 낳은 아브라함의 아들 이스마엘의 세대들은 이러하니라.

13. 13 These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, listed in the order of their birth: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

    13 이스마엘의 아들들의 이름은 그들의 세대에 따라 그들의 이름대로 이러하니라. 이스마엘의 맏아들은 느바욧이요, 다음은 게달과 앗브엘과 밉삼과

14. 14 Mishma, Dumah, Massa,

    14 미스마와 두마와 맛사와

15. 15 Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah.

    15 하달과 데마와 여둘과 나비스와 게드마인데

16. 16 These were the sons of Ishmael, and these are the names of the twelve tribal rulers according to their settlements and camps.

    16 이들은 이스마엘의 아들들이요, 이것들은 그들의 고을과 성채에 따른 그들의 이름들이며 이들은 그들의 민족에 따른 열두 통치자더라.

17. 17 Altogether, Ishmael lived a hundred and thirty-seven years. He breathed his last and died, and he was gathered to his people.

    17 이스마엘이 누린 삶의 햇수가 이러하니 곧 백삼십칠 년이니라. 그 뒤에 그가 숨을 거두고 죽어 자기 백성에게로 거두어졌더라.

18. 18 His descendants settled in the area from Havilah to Shur, near the border of Egypt, as you go toward Asshur. And they lived in hostility toward all their brothers.

    18 그들은 하윌라에서부터 수르까지 거하였는데 수르는 네가 아시리아 쪽으로 갈 때에 이집트 앞에 있느니라. 그가 자기의 모든 형제들 얼굴 앞에서 죽었더라.

19. 19 This is the account of Abrahams son Isaac. Abraham became the father of Isaac,

    19 ¶ 아브라함의 아들 이삭의 세대들은 이러하니라. 아브라함은 이삭을 낳았고

20. 20 and Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebekah daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram and sister of Laban the Aramean.

    20 이삭은 사십 세에 리브가를 아내로 취하였는데 그녀는 밧단아람의 시리아 사람 브두엘의 딸이요, 시리아 사람 라반의 누이더라.

21. 21 Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.

    21 이삭이 자기 아내가 수태하지 못하므로 그녀를 위해 주께 간구하매 주께서 그의 간구를 들으셨으므로 그의 아내 리브가가 수태하였는데

22. 22 The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, "Why is this happening to me?" So she went to inquire of the LORD.

    22 아이들이 그녀의 태 속에서 함께 싸우므로 그녀가 이르되, 그렇다면 왜 내게 이런 일이 생길까? 하고 가서 주께 여쭈었더니

23. 23 The LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger."

    23 주께서 그녀에게 이르시되, 두 민족이 네 태 속에 있도다. 두 종류의 백성이 네 배 속에서부터 갈라지되 한 백성이 다른 백성보다 강하겠고 형이 동생을 섬기리라, 하시니라.

24. 24 When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb.

    24 ¶ 그녀가 해산할 날들이 찼는데, 보라, 그녀의 태에 쌍둥이가 있더라.

25. 25 The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau.

    25 처음에 나온 자는 붉고 온몸이 털옷 같아서 그들이 그의 이름을 에서라 하였고

26. 26 After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esaus heel; so he was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them.

    26 그 뒤에 나온 그의 동생은 자기 손으로 에서의 발꿈치를 잡았으므로 그들이 그의 이름을 야곱이라 하였는데 그녀가 그들을 낳을 때 이삭은 육십 세더라.

27. 27 The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was a quiet man, staying among the tents.

    27 소년들이 자라서 에서는 능숙한 사냥꾼으로 들판의 사람이 되었고 야곱은 평지의 사람이 되어 장막에 거하였는데

28. 28 Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob.

    28 이삭은 에서가 사냥한 고기를 먹었으므로 그를 사랑하였으나 리브가는 야곱을 사랑하였더라.

29. 29 Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished.

    29 ¶ 야곱이 죽을 쑤었는데 에서가 들에서 돌아와 지쳐서

30. 30 He said to Jacob, "Quick, let me have some of that red stew! Im famished!" (That is why he was also called Edom.)

    30 야곱에게 이르되, 내가 지쳤으니 원하건대 바로 그 붉은 죽을 내가 먹게 하라, 하였으므로 사람들이 그의 이름을 에돔이라 하였더라.

31. 31 Jacob replied, "First sell me your birthright."

    31 야곱이 이르되, 이날 형의 장자권을 내게 팔라, 하매

32. 32 "Look, I am about to die," Esau said. "What good is the birthright to me?"

    32 에서가 이르되, 보라, 내가 죽을 지경인데 이 장자권이 내게 무슨 유익을 주겠느냐? 하므로

33. 33 But Jacob said, "Swear to me first." So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob.

    33 야곱이 이르되, 이날 내게 맹세하라, 하니 에서가 그에게 맹세하고 자기의 장자권을 야곱에게 파니라.

34. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.

    34 이에 야곱이 빵과 팥죽을 에서에게 주매 그가 먹고 마신 뒤 일어나 자기 길로 갔더라. 이같이 에서는 자기의 장자권을 업신여겼더라.
