창세기 30장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, "Give me children, or Ill die!"

   1 라헬이 자기가 야곱에게 아이들을 낳지 못하는 것을 보고 자기 언니를 시기하여 야곱에게 이르되, 내게 아이들을 달라. 그러지 않으면 내가 죽으리라, 하니

2. 2 Jacob became angry with her and said, "Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?"

   2 야곱의 분노가 라헬을 향해 타올라 그가 이르되, 당신이 태의 열매를 맺지 못하도록 금하신 분은 하나님이신데 내가 그분을 대신하겠느냐? 하매

3. 3 Then she said, "Here is Bilhah, my maidservant. Sleep with her so that she can bear children for me and that through her I too can build a family."

   3 그녀가 이르되, 내 하녀 빌하를 보라. 그녀에게로 들어가라. 그녀가 아이를 낳아 내 무릎 위에 두리니 그러면 나도 그녀로 말미암아 아이들을 얻으리라, 하고

4. 4 So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife. Jacob slept with her,

   4 자기 여종 빌하를 그에게 아내로 주매 야곱이 그녀에게로 들어가니라.

5. 5 and she became pregnant and bore him a son.

   5 빌하가 수태하여 야곱에게 아들을 낳으매

6. 6 Then Rachel said, "God has vindicated me; he has listened to my plea and given me a son." Because of this she named him Dan.

   6 라헬이 이르되, 하나님께서 나를 의롭게 판단하시고 또한 내 목소리를 들으사 내게 아들을 주셨다, 하고는 그런 까닭으로 그의 이름을 단이라 하였으며

7. 7 Rachels servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son.

   7 라헬의 하녀 빌하가 다시 수태하여 둘째 아들을 야곱에게 낳으니

8. 8 Then Rachel said, "I have had a great struggle with my sister, and I have won." So she named him Naphtali.

   8 라헬이 이르되, 내가 내 언니와 큰 싸움을 싸워 이겼다, 하고 그의 이름을 납달리라 하였더라.

9. 9 When Leah saw that she had stopped having children, she took her maidservant Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife.

   9 레아가 자기의 출산이 멈춘 것을 보고 자기 하녀 실바를 취해 야곱에게 아내로 주었더니

10. 10 Leahs servant Zilpah bore Jacob a son.

    10 레아의 하녀 실바가 야곱에게 아들을 낳으매

11. 11 Then Leah said, "What good fortune!" So she named him Gad.

    11 레아가 이르되, 군대가 오는도다, 하고 그의 이름을 갓이라 하였으며

12. 12 Leahs servant Zilpah bore Jacob a second son.

    12 레아의 하녀 실바가 둘째 아들을 야곱에게 낳으매

13. 13 Then Leah said, "How happy I am! The women will call me happy." So she named him Asher.

    13 레아가 이르되, 나는 행복하도다. 딸들이 나를 복된 자라 하리라, 하고 그의 이름을 아셀이라 하였더라.

14. 14 During wheat harvest, Reuben went out into the fields and found some mandrake plants, which he brought to his mother Leah. Rachel said to Leah, "Please give me some of your sons mandrakes."

    14 ¶ 밀을 수확하는 때에 르우벤이 들에 갔다가 합환채를 찾아 자기 어머니 레아에게 가져오니 이에 라헬이 레아에게 이르되, 원하건대 언니 아들의 합환채를 내게 달라, 하매

15. 15 But she said to her, "Wasnt it enough that you took away my husband? Will you take my sons mandrakes too?" "Very well," Rachel said, "he can sleep with you tonight in return for your sons mandrakes."

    15 레아가 그녀에게 이르되, 네가 내 남편을 빼앗은 것이 작은 일이냐? 그런데 네가 내 아들의 합환채도 빼앗으려 하느냐? 하니 라헬이 이르되, 이런 까닭으로 언니 아들의 합환채 대신 오늘 밤에 그가 언니와 함께 누우리라, 하니라.

16. 16 So when Jacob came in from the fields that evening, Leah went out to meet him. "You must sleep with me," she said. "I have hired you with my sons mandrakes." So he slept with her that night.

    16 저녁에 야곱이 들에서 오매 레아가 나와서 그를 맞이하며 이르되, 당신은 반드시 내게로 들어와야 하리니 내가 내 아들의 합환채로 당신을 확실히 세내었노라, 하므로 그 밤에 그가 그녀와 함께 누웠더라.

17. 17 God listened to Leah, and she became pregnant and bore Jacob a fifth son.

    17 하나님께서 레아의 말에 귀를 기울이셨으므로 그녀가 수태하여 야곱에게 다섯째 아들을 낳고는

18. 18 Then Leah said, "God has rewarded me for giving my maidservant to my husband." So she named him Issachar.

    18 레아가 이르되, 내가 내 하녀를 내 남편에게 주었으므로 하나님께서 내가 받을 삯을 내게 주셨다, 하고 그의 이름을 잇사갈이라 하였으며

19. 19 Leah conceived again and bore Jacob a sixth son.

    19 레아가 다시 수태하여 야곱에게 여섯째 아들을 낳고는

20. 20 Then Leah said, "God has presented me with a precious gift. This time my husband will treat me with honor, because I have borne him six sons." So she named him Zebulun.

    20 레아가 이르되, 하나님께서 내게 좋은 지참금을 주셨도다. 내가 내 남편에게 여섯 아들을 낳았으니 이제는 그가 나와 함께 거하리라, 하고 그의 이름을 스불론이라 하였으며

21. 21 Some time later she gave birth to a daughter and named her Dinah.

    21 그 뒤에 그녀가 딸을 낳고 그녀의 이름을 디나라 하였더라.

22. 22 Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and opened her womb.

    22 ¶ 하나님께서 라헬을 기억하시니라. 하나님께서 그녀의 말에 귀를 기울이시고 그녀의 태를 여셨으므로

23. 23 She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said, "God has taken away my disgrace."

    23 그녀가 수태하여 아들을 낳고는 이르되, 하나님께서 내 치욕을 치워 주셨다, 하고

24. 24 She named him Joseph, and said, "May the LORD add to me another son."

    24 그의 이름을 요셉이라 하며 이르되, 주께서 다른 아들을 내게 더하시리라, 하였더라.

25. 25 After Rachel gave birth to Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, "Send me on my way so I can go back to my own homeland.

    25 ¶ 라헬이 요셉을 낳았을 때에 야곱이 라반에게 이르되, 나를 보내어 내가 내 본고장 내 고향으로 가게 하시되

26. 26 Give me my wives and children, for whom I have served you, and I will be on my way. You know how much work Ive done for you."

    26 내가 외삼촌을 섬긴 대가로 얻은 내 아내들과 내 아이들을 내게 주시고 내가 가게 하소서. 내가 외삼촌을 섬긴 것을 외삼촌께서 아시나이다, 하매

27. 27 But Laban said to him, "If I have found favor in your eyes, please stay. I have learned by divination that the LORD has blessed me because of you."

    27 라반이 그에게 이르되, 주께서 너로 인해 내게 복 주신 것을 내가 체험으로 알았나니 원하건대 내가 네 눈앞에서 호의를 입었거든 머무르라, 하고

28. 28 He added, "Name your wages, and I will pay them."

    28 또 이르되, 나를 위해 네 품삯을 정하라. 그러면 내가 그것을 주리라, 하매

29. 29 Jacob said to him, "You know how I have worked for you and how your livestock has fared under my care.

    29 야곱이 그에게 이르되, 내가 어떻게 외삼촌을 섬겼고 외삼촌의 가축이 어떻게 나와 함께하였는지 외삼촌께서 아시나이다.

30. 30 The little you had before I came has increased greatly, and the LORD has blessed you wherever I have been. But now, when may I do something for my own household?"

    30 내가 오기 전에는 외삼촌의 소유가 적었는데 이제는 그것이 불어나 무리를 이루었나이다. 내가 온 뒤로 주께서 외삼촌에게 복을 주셨나이다. 그런데 이제 나는 언제 내 집을 위해서도 예비하리이까? 하니라.

31. 31 "What shall I give you?" he asked. "Dont give me anything," Jacob replied. "But if you will do this one thing for me, I will go on tending your flocks and watching over them:

    31 그가 이르되, 내가 무엇을 네게 주랴? 하매 야곱이 이르되, 외삼촌께서 내게 아무것도 주지 않아도 나를 위해 이 일을 행하시면 내가 다시 외삼촌의 양과 염소 떼를 먹이고 지키리이다.

32. 32 Let me go through all your flocks today and remove from them every speckled or spotted sheep, every dark-colored lamb and every spotted or speckled goat. They will be my wages.

    32 오늘 내가 외삼촌의 온 양과 염소 떼를 지나가며 거기서 점 있고 얼룩진 모든 가축과 양들 가운데서 모든 갈색 가축과 염소들 가운데서 얼룩지고 점 있는 것을 옮기리니 그런 것들이 내 품삯이 되리이다.

33. 33 And my honesty will testify for me in the future, whenever you check on the wages you have paid me. Any goat in my possession that is not speckled or spotted, or any lamb that is not dark-colored, will be considered stolen."

    33 이로써 이후에 외삼촌의 얼굴 앞에서 내 품삯에 관하여 말하게 될 때에 내 의가 나를 위해 답변하리이다. 염소들 가운데서 점이 없는 것이나 얼룩지지 않은 것이나 양들 가운데서 갈색이 아닌 것이 있거든 다 내가 도둑질한 것으로 여기소서, 하니

34. 34 "Agreed," said Laban. "Let it be as you have said."

    34 라반이 이르되, 보라, 네 말대로 되기를 내가 원하노라, 하고는

35. 35 That same day he removed all the male goats that were streaked or spotted, and all the speckled or spotted female goats (all that had white on them) and all the dark-colored lambs, and he placed them in the care of his sons.

    35 그 날 그가 줄무늬 있고 얼룩진 숫염소들을 옮기고 점이 있고 얼룩진 모든 암염소들과 조금 흰색이 있는 모든 것을 옮기며 양들 가운데서 갈색인 것을 다 옮겨 그것들을 자기 아들들의 손에 넘겨주고

36. 36 Then he put a three-day journey between himself and Jacob, while Jacob continued to tend the rest of Labans flocks.

    36 자기와 야곱의 사이를 사흘 길이 되게 벌려 놓으매 야곱이 라반의 양과 염소 떼 중에서 남은 것을 먹였더라.

37. 37 Jacob, however, took fresh-cut branches from poplar, almond and plane trees and made white stripes on them by peeling the bark and exposing the white inner wood of the branches.

    37 ¶ 야곱이 녹색 포플러나무와 개암나무와 밤나무 가지들을 가져다가 껍질을 벗겨 그것들 속에 흰 줄무늬를 내고 가지들 속에 있는 하얀 것이 나타나게 한 뒤

38. 38 Then he placed the peeled branches in all the watering troughs, so that they would be directly in front of the flocks when they came to drink. When the flocks were in heat and came to drink,

    38 양 떼가 마시러 올 때에 자기가 껍질을 벗긴 가지들을 양 떼 앞에 물구유 홈통 속에 세워 놓았으니 이것은 그것들이 마시러 올 때에 수태하게 하려 함이더라.

39. 39 they mated in front of the branches. And they bore young that were streaked or speckled or spotted.

    39 양 떼가 그 가지들 앞에서 수태하므로 줄무늬 있는 것과 점 있는 것과 얼룩진 가축을 낳으매

40. 40 Jacob set apart the young of the flock by themselves, but made the rest face the streaked and dark-colored animals that belonged to Laban. Thus he made separate flocks for himself and did not put them with Labans animals.

    40 야곱이 어린양들을 분리하고 그 양 떼의 얼굴을 라반의 양 떼 중에서 줄무늬 있는 것과 갈색인 모든 것을 향하게 하였으며 또 자기 양 떼를 따로 두되 그것들이 라반의 가축에게 닿지 아니하게 두었더라.

41. 41 Whenever the stronger females were in heat, Jacob would place the branches in the troughs in front of the animals so they would mate near the branches,

    41 강한 가축이 수태할 때마다 야곱이 가축의 눈앞에서 그 가지들을 홈통 속에 두어 그것들이 그 가지들 사이에서 수태하게 하였으나

42. 42 but if the animals were weak, he would not place them there. So the weak animals went to Laban and the strong ones to Jacob.

    42 가축이 연약하면 그것들을 그 속에 두지 아니하였으니 이로써 약한 것들은 라반의 것이 되고 강한 것들은 야곱의 것이 되었으므로

43. 43 In this way the man grew exceedingly prosperous and came to own large flocks, and maidservants and menservants, and camels and donkeys.

    43 그 사람이 심히 번창하여 많은 가축과 여종들과 남종들과 낙타들과 나귀들을 소유하였더라.
