창세기 31장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Jacob heard that Labans sons were saying, "Jacob has taken everything our father owned and has gained all this wealth from what belonged to our father."

   1 그가 라반의 아들들의 말들을 들었는데 그들이 이르기를, 야곱이 우리 아버지 것을 다 가져갔고 우리 아버지 것으로 말미암아 이 모든 영화를 얻었다, 하므로

2. 2 And Jacob noticed that Labans attitude toward him was not what it had been.

   2 야곱이 라반의 얼굴빛을 보니, 보라, 그것이 자기를 향해 전과 같지 아니하더라.

3. 3 Then the LORD said to Jacob, "Go back to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you."

   3 주께서 야곱에게 이르시되, 네 조상들의 땅으로, 네 친족에게로 돌아가라. 내가 너와 함께하리라, 하시므로

4. 4 So Jacob sent word to Rachel and Leah to come out to the fields where his flocks were.

   4 야곱이 사람을 보내어 라헬과 레아를 자기 양 떼가 있는 들로 부르고

5. 5 He said to them, "I see that your fathers attitude toward me is not what it was before, but the God of my father has been with me.

   5 그들에게 이르되, 내가 당신들 아버지의 얼굴빛을 보는데 그것이 나를 향해 전과 같지 아니하도다. 그러나 내 아버지의 하나님께서 나와 함께하셨느니라.

6. 6 You know that Ive worked for your father with all my strength,

   6 당신들도 아는 바와 같이 내가 내 힘을 다해 당신들 아버지를 섬겼는데

7. 7 yet your father has cheated me by changing my wages ten times. However, God has not allowed him to harm me.

   7 당신들 아버지가 나를 속여 내 품삯을 열 번이나 바꾸었느니라. 그러나 하나님께서 그가 나를 해치지 못하게 하셨으며

8. 8 If he said, The speckled ones will be your wages, then all the flocks gave birth to speckled young; and if he said, The streaked ones will be your wages, then all the flocks bore streaked young.

   8 그가 이같이 말하기를, 점 있는 것이 네 품삯이 되리라, 하면 모든 가축이 점 있는 것을 낳았고 또 그가 이같이 말하기를, 줄무늬 있는 것이 네 품삯이 되리라, 하면 모든 가축이 줄무늬 있는 것을 낳았으니

9. 9 So God has taken away your fathers livestock and has given them to me.

   9 이같이 하나님께서 당신들 아버지 가축을 빼앗아 내게 주셨느니라.

10. 10 "In breeding season I once had a dream in which I looked up and saw that the male goats mating with the flock were streaked, speckled or spotted.

    10 가축이 수태할 때에 내가 눈을 들어 꿈에 보니, 보라, 가축 위에 올라탄 숫양들은 줄무늬 있는 것과 점 있는 것과 회색 얼룩진 것이더라.

11. 11 The angel of God said to me in the dream, Jacob. I answered, Here I am.

    11 꿈에 하나님의 천사가 내게 말씀하여 이르시되, 야곱아, 하시기에 내가 이르기를, 내가 여기 있나이다, 하매

12. 12 And he said, Look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.

    12 그분께서 이르시되, 이제 네 눈을 들어서 보라. 가축 위에 올라타는 모든 숫양은 줄무늬 있는 것과 점 있는 것과 회색 얼룩진 것이니라. 라반이 네게 행하는 모든 것을 내가 보았느니라.

13. 13 I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and where you made a vow to me. Now leave this land at once and go back to your native land."

    13 나는 벧엘의 하나님이니라. 네가 거기서 기둥에 기름을 붓고 거기서 내게 서원하였으니 이제 너는 일어나서 이 땅을 떠나 네 친족의 땅으로 돌아가라, 하셨느니라, 하니라.

14. 14 Then Rachel and Leah replied, "Do we still have any share in the inheritance of our fathers estate?

    14 라헬과 레아가 그에게 응답하여 이르되, 우리 아버지 집에서 아직도 우리에게 무슨 몫이나 상속물이 있나이까?

15. 15 Does he not regard us as foreigners? Not only has he sold us, but he has used up what was paid for us.

    15 아버지께서 우리를 낯선 자로 여기지 아니하셨나이까? 그분이 우리를 팔았고 우리 돈도 완전히 삼켰나이다.

16. 16 Surely all the wealth that God took away from our father belongs to us and our children. So do whatever God has told you."

    16 하나님께서 우리 아버지에게서 취하신 모든 재물은 우리와 우리 아이들의 것이니 그런즉 무엇이든지 하나님께서 당신에게 말씀하신 것을 이제 다 행하소서, 하니라.

17. 17 Then Jacob put his children and his wives on camels,

    17 ¶ 이에 야곱이 일어나 자기 아들들과 아내들을 낙타에 태운 뒤

18. 18 and he drove all his livestock ahead of him, along with all the goods he had accumulated in Paddan Aram, to go to his father Isaac in the land of Canaan.

    18 가나안 땅에 있는 자기 아버지 이삭에게 가기 위해 자기가 얻은 모든 가축과 모든 재물 곧 자기가 밧단아람에서 얻은 가축을 끌고 갔더라.

19. 19 When Laban had gone to shear his sheep, Rachel stole her fathers household gods.

    19 라반이 자기 양들의 털을 깎으러 갔으므로 라헬은 자기 아버지 소유인 형상들을 훔쳤고

20. 20 Moreover, Jacob deceived Laban the Aramean by not telling him he was running away.

    20 야곱은 자기가 도망하는 것을 시리아 사람 라반에게 알리지 아니한 채 몰래 슬그머니 떠났더라.

21. 21 So he fled with all he had, and crossing the River, he headed for the hill country of Gilead.

    21 이렇게 그가 자기가 소유한 모든 것을 가지고 도망하였으며 그가 일어나 강을 건넌 뒤 길르앗 산을 향해 자기 얼굴을 고정하였더라.

22. 22 On the third day Laban was told that Jacob had fled.

    22 야곱이 도망했다는 것을 어떤 이가 셋째 날 라반에게 고하므로

23. 23 Taking his relatives with him, he pursued Jacob for seven days and caught up with him in the hill country of Gilead.

    23 그가 자기 형제들을 데리고 야곱을 추격하여 이레 길을 가서 그들이 길르앗 산에서 야곱을 따라잡았더니

24. 24 Then God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream at night and said to him, "Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad."

    24 밤에 하나님께서 꿈에 시리아 사람 라반에게 오셔서 그에게 이르시되, 너는 조심하여 야곱에게 좋다 나쁘다 하지 말라, 하시니라.

25. 25 Jacob had pitched his tent in the hill country of Gilead when Laban overtook him, and Laban and his relatives camped there too.

    25 ¶ 그 뒤에 라반이 야곱을 따라잡았는데 그때 야곱이 산에 자기 장막을 쳤으므로 라반이 자기 형제들과 함께 길르앗 산에 장막을 치고는

26. 26 Then Laban said to Jacob, "What have you done? Youve deceived me, and youve carried off my daughters like captives in war.

    26 야곱에게 이르되, 네가 내게 알리지 아니하고 몰래 슬그머니 떠나면서 내 딸들을 칼로 사로잡은 포로같이 끌고 갔으니 네가 무슨 일을 하였느냐?

27. 27 Why did you run off secretly and deceive me? Why didnt you tell me, so I could send you away with joy and singing to the music of tambourines and harps?

    27 내가 희락과 노래와 작은북과 하프와 함께 너를 보냈을 터인데 네가 어찌하여 은밀히 도망하고 슬그머니 나를 떠나 내게 고하지 아니하였느냐?

28. 28 You didnt even let me kiss my grandchildren and my daughters good-by. You have done a foolish thing.

    28 또 내가 내 손자들과 딸들에게 입 맞추지 못하게 하였느냐? 네가 그리함으로써 이제 어리석게 행하였느니라.

29. 29 I have the power to harm you; but last night the God of your father said to me, Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.

    29 너희를 해칠 만한 능력이 내 손에 있으나 너희 아버지의 하나님께서 어젯밤에 내게 말씀하여 이르시되, 너는 조심하여 야곱에게 좋다 나쁘다 하지 말라, 하셨느니라.

30. 30 Now you have gone off because you longed to return to your fathers house. But why did you steal my gods?"

    30 이제 네가 네 아버지 집을 심히 사모하므로 가야 할지라도 내 신들은 어찌하여 훔쳤느냐? 하매

31. 31 Jacob answered Laban, "I was afraid, because I thought you would take your daughters away from me by force.

    31 야곱이 라반에게 대답하여 이르되, 내가 이르기를, 혹시 외삼촌이 외삼촌의 딸들을 내게서 강제로 빼앗는다면 어찌할까? 하며 두려워하였기 때문이니이다.

32. 32 But if you find anyone who has your gods, he shall not live. In the presence of our relatives, see for yourself whether there is anything of yours here with me; and if so, take it." Now Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen the gods.

    32 외삼촌께서 외삼촌의 신들을 누구에게서 찾든지 그는 살지 못하리이다. 외삼촌께서는 우리 형제들 앞에서 외삼촌의 것이 내게 있는지 분별하시어 그것을 외삼촌에게로 가져가소서, 하였으니 이는 라헬이 그것들을 훔친 줄을 야곱이 알지 못하였기 때문이더라.

33. 33 So Laban went into Jacobs tent and into Leahs tent and into the tent of the two maidservants, but he found nothing. After he came out of Leahs tent, he entered Rachels tent.

    33 라반이 야곱의 장막에 들어가고 레아의 장막에 들어가며 두 여종의 장막에 들어갔으나 그것들을 찾지 못하고 이에 레아의 장막에서 나와 라헬의 장막에 들어갔는데

34. 34 Now Rachel had taken the household gods and put them inside her camels saddle and was sitting on them. Laban searched through everything in the tent but found nothing.

    34 그때 라헬은 이미 그 형상들을 가져다가 낙타의 안장 속에 넣고 그것들 위에 앉아 있더라. 라반이 장막을 모두 뒤졌으나 그것들을 찾지 못하매

35. 35 Rachel said to her father, "Dont be angry, my lord, that I cannot stand up in your presence; Im having my period." So he searched but could not find the household gods.

    35 그녀가 자기 아버지에게 이르되, 내 몸에 여인들의 관례가 있어 내가 내 주 앞에서 일어날 수 없사오니 내 주께서는 불쾌히 여기지 마소서, 하니라. 그가 뒤졌으나 형상들을 찾지 못하였으므로

36. 36 Jacob was angry and took Laban to task. "What is my crime?" he asked Laban. "What sin have I committed that you hunt me down?

    36 ¶ 야곱이 노하여 라반을 나무라며 라반에게 응답하여 이르되, 내 범법이 무엇이니이까? 내 죄가 무엇이기에 외삼촌께서 이같이 분개하여 내 뒤를 따라오셨나이까?

37. 37 Now that you have searched through all my goods, what have you found that belongs to your household? Put it here in front of your relatives and mine, and let them judge between the two of us.

    37 외삼촌께서 내 모든 물건을 뒤지셨으나 외삼촌의 모든 집안 물건 중에서 무엇을 찾아내셨나이까? 여기 내 형제들과 외삼촌의 형제들 앞에 그것을 세워 두고 이로써 그들이 우리 둘 사이의 시비를 판단하게 하소서.

38. 38 "I have been with you for twenty years now. Your sheep and goats have not miscarried, nor have I eaten rams from your flocks.

    38 내가 이 이십 년을 외삼촌과 함께하였는데 외삼촌의 암양들과 암염소들이 낙태하지 아니하였고 외삼촌의 양 떼의 숫양들을 내가 먹지 아니하였으며

39. 39 I did not bring you animals torn by wild beasts; I bore the loss myself. And you demanded payment from me for whatever was stolen by day or night.

    39 짐승에게 물려 찢긴 것은 외삼촌께 가져가지 아니하고 내가 그것의 손실을 떠맡았으며 낮에 도둑을 맞았든지 밤에 도둑을 맞았든지 외삼촌께서는 내 손에서 그것을 요구하셨나이다.

40. 40 This was my situation: The heat consumed me in the daytime and the cold at night, and sleep fled from my eyes.

    40 내가 이와 같았으니 곧 낮에는 갈증이 밤에는 서리가 나를 삼켜 버렸고 내 눈에서는 잠이 떠났나이다.

41. 41 It was like this for the twenty years I was in your household. I worked for you fourteen years for your two daughters and six years for your flocks, and you changed my wages ten times.

    41 이같이 내가 외삼촌 집에서 이십 년을 지내면서 외삼촌의 두 딸을 위해 십사 년 동안 또 외삼촌의 가축을 위해 육 년 동안 외삼촌을 섬겼는데 외삼촌께서는 내 품삯을 열 번이나 바꾸셨나이다.

42. 42 If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, you would surely have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my hardship and the toil of my hands, and last night he rebuked you."

    42 만일 내 아버지의 하나님, 아브라함의 하나님 곧 이삭이 두려워하는 분께서 나와 함께 계시지 아니하였더라면 분명히 외삼촌께서 이제 나를 빈손으로 내보내셨으리이다마는 하나님께서 내 고난과 내 손의 수고를 보시고 어젯밤에 외삼촌을 책망하셨나이다, 하니라.

43. 43 Laban answered Jacob, "The women are my daughters, the children are my children, and the flocks are my flocks. All you see is mine. Yet what can I do today about these daughters of mine, or about the children they have borne?

    43 ¶ 라반이 야곱에게 응답하여 이르되, 이 딸들은 내 딸들이요, 이 아이들은 내 아이들이요, 이 가축들은 내 가축들이요, 네가 보는 모든 것은 내 것이니라. 이날 내가 이 내 딸들이나 그들이 낳은 그들의 아이들에게 무슨 일을 할 수 있겠느냐?

44. 44 Come now, lets make a covenant, you and I, and let it serve as a witness between us."

    44 그러므로 너는 이제 오라. 우리 곧 나와 네가 언약을 맺어 그것이 나와 너 사이의 증거가 되게 하리라, 하매

45. 45 So Jacob took a stone and set it up as a pillar.

    45 야곱이 돌을 가져다가 기둥으로 세우고

46. 46 He said to his relatives, "Gather some stones." So they took stones and piled them in a heap, and they ate there by the heap.

    46 또 자기 형제들에게 말하기를, 돌들을 모으라, 하니 그들이 돌들을 취해 무더기를 만들었으므로 그들이 거기서 그 무더기 위에서 먹으니라.

47. 47 Laban called it Jegar Sahadutha, and Jacob called it Galeed.

    47 라반은 그것을 여갈사하두다라 하였으나 야곱은 그것을 갈르엣이라 하였더라.

48. 48 Laban said, "This heap is a witness between you and me today." That is why it was called Galeed.

    48 라반이 말하기를, 이날 이 무더기가 나와 너 사이의 증거이니라, 하였으므로 그들이 그것의 이름을 갈르엣이라 하였고

49. 49 It was also called Mizpah, because he said, "May the LORD keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other.

    49 또 미스바라 하였더라. 이는 그가 이르기를, 우리가 서로 떠나 있을 때에 주께서 나와 너 사이에 살펴보시기를 원하노니

50. 50 If you mistreat my daughters or if you take any wives besides my daughters, even though no one is with us, remember that God is a witness between you and me."

    50 네가 내 딸들을 괴롭히거나 내 딸들 외에 다른 아내들을 취하면 아무도 우리와 함께하지 아니한다 해도, 보라, 하나님께서 나와 너 사이의 증인이시니라, 하였기 때문이더라.

51. 51 Laban also said to Jacob, "Here is this heap, and here is this pillar I have set up between you and me.

    51 또 라반이 야곱에게 이르되, 내가 나와 너 사이에 쌓아 둔 이 무더기를 보라. 또 이 기둥을 보라.

52. 52 This heap is a witness, and this pillar is a witness, that I will not go past this heap to your side to harm you and that you will not go past this heap and pillar to my side to harm me.

    52 이 무더기가 증거가 되고 이 기둥이 증거가 되기를 원하되 내가 이 무더기를 넘어 네게로 가서 해치지 아니하며 너도 이 무더기와 이 기둥을 넘어 내게로 와서 해치지 아니하리라는 증거가 되기를 원하노라.

53. 53 May the God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge between us." So Jacob took an oath in the name of the Fear of his father Isaac.

    53 아브라함의 하나님, 나홀의 하나님, 그들 아버지의 하나님께서 우리 사이의 시비를 판단하시기를 원하노라, 하매 야곱이 자기 아버지 이삭이 두려워하는 분을 두고 맹세하였더라.

54. 54 He offered a sacrifice there in the hill country and invited his relatives to a meal. After they had eaten, they spent the night there.

    54 그때에 야곱이 산에서 희생물을 드리고 자기 형제들을 불러 빵을 먹게 하니 그들이 빵을 먹고 산에서 온밤을 지내니라.

55. 55 Early the next morning Laban kissed his grandchildren and his daughters and blessed them. Then he left and returned home.

    55 라반이 아침에 일찍 일어나 자기 아들딸들에게 입 맞추고 그들을 축복한 뒤 떠나 자기 처소로 돌아갔더라.
