창세기 45장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he cried out, "Have everyone leave my presence!" So there was no one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers.

   1 그때에 요셉이 자기 옆에 서 있는 모든 자들 앞에서 자기를 억제할 수 없어서 소리를 질러 이르되, 모든 사람을 내게서 물러가게 하라, 하였는데 요셉이 자기 형제들에게 자기를 알릴 때에 그와 함께 서 있는 자가 아무도 없었더라.

2. 2 And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and Pharaohs household heard about it.

   2 그가 크게 우니 이집트 사람들과 파라오의 집이 듣더라.

3. 3 Joseph said to his brothers, "I am Joseph! Is my father still living?" But his brothers were not able to answer him, because they were terrified at his presence.

   3 요셉이 자기 형제들에게 이르되, 나는 요셉이니이다. 내 아버지께서 아직 살아 계시나이까? 하였으나 그의 형제들은 그에게 대답할 수 없었으니 이는 그들이 그의 얼굴 앞에서 불안해하였기 때문이더라.

4. 4 Then Joseph said to his brothers, "Come close to me." When they had done so, he said, "I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt!

   4 요셉이 자기 형제들에게 이르되, 원하건대 내게 가까이 오소서, 하니 그들이 가까이 가매 그가 이르되, 나는 당신들의 동생 요셉이니 곧 당신들이 이집트에 판 자니이다.

5. 5 And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.

   5 그러므로 이제 당신들이 나를 이곳에 팔았다고 해서 근심하거나 당신들 스스로에게 노하지 마소서. 하나님께서 생명을 보존하시려고 나를 당신들보다 앞서 보내셨나이다.

6. 6 For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will not be plowing and reaping.

   6 이 땅에 이 이 년 동안 기근이 있었으나 아직 오 년이 남아 있어 그동안 밭을 갈지도 못하고 수확하지도 못하리이다.

7. 7 But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

   7 하나님께서 당신들을 위해 후손을 땅에 보존하시며 큰 구출로 당신들의 생명을 구원하시려고 나를 당신들보다 앞서 보내셨나니

8. 8 "So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.

   8 그런즉 이제 나를 여기로 보낸 이는 당신들이 아니요, 하나님이시니이다. 그분께서 나를 파라오에게 아버지가 되게 하시고 그의 온 집의 주(主)가 되게 하셨으며 이집트 온 땅 전역을 다스리는 치리자가 되게 하셨나이다.

9. 9 Now hurry back to my father and say to him, This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; dont delay.

   9 당신들은 속히 내 아버지께 올라가 그분께 이르되, 아버지의 아들 요셉이 이같이 말하나이다. 하나님께서 나를 온 이집트의 주(主)로 세우셨으니 지체하지 말고 내게 내려오소서.

10. 10 You shall live in the region of Goshen and be near me--you, your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and all you have.

    10 아버지는 고센 땅에 거하실 것이며 아버지와 아버지의 자식들과 아버지의 손자들과 아버지의 양 떼와 소 떼와 모든 소유는 내게 가까이 있으리이다.

11. 11 I will provide for you there, because five years of famine are still to come. Otherwise you and your household and all who belong to you will become destitute.

    11 아직도 기근이 오 년이나 더 남아 있으므로 내가 거기서 아버지를 봉양하겠나이다. 아버지와 아버지의 집안사람들과 아버지의 모든 소유가 궁핍을 당할까 염려하나이다, 하소서.

12. 12 "You can see for yourselves, and so can my brother Benjamin, that it is really I who am speaking to you.

    12 보소서, 당신들의 눈과 내 동생 베냐민의 눈이 보는 바와 같이 당신들에게 말하는 것은 내 입이니이다.

13. 13 Tell my father about all the honor accorded me in Egypt and about everything you have seen. And bring my father down here quickly."

    13 당신들은 내가 이집트에서 누리고 있는 모든 영광과 당신들이 본 모든 것을 내 아버지께 고한 뒤 속히 내 아버지를 모시고 여기로 내려오소서, 하며

14. 14 Then he threw his arms around his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin embraced him, weeping.

    14 자기 동생 베냐민의 목을 껴안고 우니 베냐민도 그의 목을 껴안고 우니라.

15. 15 And he kissed all his brothers and wept over them. Afterward his brothers talked with him.

    15 또 그가 자기의 모든 형들과 입 맞추며 그들을 안고 우니 그의 형들이 그제야 그와 말을 하니라.

16. 16 When the news reached Pharaohs palace that Josephs brothers had come, Pharaoh and all his officials were pleased.

    16 ¶ 그 일에 대한 소문 즉, 요셉의 형제들이 왔다, 하는 소문이 파라오의 집에 들리매 파라오와 그의 신하들이 매우 기뻐하고

17. 17 Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Tell your brothers, Do this: Load your animals and return to the land of Canaan,

    17 파라오가 요셉에게 이르되, 네 형제들에게 말하기를, 너희는 이렇게 하라. 곧 너희 짐승들에 짐을 싣고 가서 가나안 땅에 도착하거든

18. 18 and bring your father and your families back to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you can enjoy the fat of the land.

    18 너희 아버지와 너희 집안사람들을 데리고 내게로 오라. 내가 너희에게 이집트 땅의 좋은 것을 주리니 너희가 이 땅의 기름진 것을 먹으리라.

19. 19 "You are also directed to tell them, Do this: Take some carts from Egypt for your children and your wives, and get your father and come.

    19 이제 네가 명령을 받았으니 너희는 이렇게 하라. 너희는 이집트 땅에서 수레들을 가져다가 너희의 어린것들과 아내들을 태우고 너희 아버지를 데려오라.

20. 20 Never mind about your belongings, because the best of all Egypt will be yours."

    20 또한 너희 물건에 관심을 두지 말라. 이집트 온 땅의 좋은 것이 너희 것이니라, 하라, 하니라.

21. 21 So the sons of Israel did this. Joseph gave them carts, as Pharaoh had commanded, and he also gave them provisions for their journey.

    21 이스라엘의 아이들이 그대로 하매 요셉이 파라오의 명령대로 그들에게 수레들을 주고 길에서 필요한 양식을 그들에게 주며

22. 22 To each of them he gave new clothing, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver and five sets of clothes.

    22 그들 모두에게 각각 옷 한 벌씩을 주되 베냐민에게는 은 삼백 개와 옷 다섯 벌을 주었고

23. 23 And this is what he sent to his father: ten donkeys loaded with the best things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and other provisions for his journey.

    23 또 그가 이런 식으로 자기 아버지에게 보내되 수나귀 열 마리에 이집트의 좋은 물품들을 싣고 암나귀 열 마리에는 자기 아버지가 길에서 먹을 곡식과 빵과 음식을 실었더라.

24. 24 Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, "Dont quarrel on the way!"

    24 이렇게 그가 자기 형들을 보내매 그들이 떠났는데 그가 그들에게 이르되, 형들은 길에서 다투지 마소서, 하였더라.

25. 25 So they went up out of Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan.

    25 ¶ 그들이 이집트에서 올라온 뒤 가나안 땅으로 들어가 자기들의 아버지 야곱에게 와서

26. 26 They told him, "Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt." Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them.

    26 야곱에게 고하여 이르되, 요셉이 아직 살아 있으며 그는 이집트 온 땅의 총독이니이다, 하매 야곱이 그들의 말을 믿지 아니하였으므로 그의 마음이 무너져 내렸더라.

27. 27 But when they told him everything Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts Joseph had sent to carry him back, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.

    27 그들이 요셉이 자기들에게 한 말 곧 그의 모든 말을 야곱에게 고하매 요셉이 자기를 데려가려고 보낸 수레들을 야곱이 본 뒤에야 그들의 아버지 야곱의 영이 소생하였더라.

28. 28 And Israel said, "Im convinced! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die."

    28 이스라엘이 이르되, 족하도다. 내 아들 요셉이 아직 살아 있으니 내가 죽기 전에 가서 그를 보리라, 하니라.
