창세기 49장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Then Jacob called for his sons and said: "Gather around so I can tell you what will happen to you in days to come.

   1 야곱이 자기 아들들을 불러 이르되, 너희는 함께 모이라. 마지막 날들에 너희에게 닥칠 일을 내가 너희에게 말하리라.

2. 2 "Assemble and listen, sons of Jacob; listen to your father Israel.

   2 너희는 함께 모이고 들으라. 야곱의 아들들아, 너희 아버지 이스라엘의 말에 귀를 기울일지어다.

3. 3 "Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, the first sign of my strength, excelling in honor, excelling in power.

   3 ¶ 르우벤아, 너는 내 맏아들이요, 내 강력이며 내 힘의 시작이요, 위엄이 뛰어나고 권능이 뛰어나도다.

4. 4 Turbulent as the waters, you will no longer excel, for you went up onto your fathers bed, onto my couch and defiled it.

   4 그러나 네가 물과 같이 불안정하여 뛰어나지 못하리니 이는 네가 네 아버지의 침상에 올라가 그때에 그것을 더럽혔기 때문이라. 그가 내 침상에 올라갔도다.

5. 5 "Simeon and Levi are brothers--their swords are weapons of violence.

   5 ¶ 시므온과 레위는 형제들이며 잔인한 도구들이 그들의 거처에 있도다.

6. 6 Let me not enter their council, let me not join their assembly, for they have killed men in their anger and hamstrung oxen as they pleased.

   6 오 내 혼아, 너는 그들의 은밀한 모임에 들어가지 말지어다. 내 존귀야, 너는 그들의 모임에 연합하지 말지어다. 이는 그들이 분노하여 사람을 죽이고 자기들의 의지대로 벽을 파 내려갔기 때문이라.

7. 7 Cursed be their anger, so fierce, and their fury, so cruel! I will scatter them in Jacob and disperse them in Israel.

   7 그들의 분노가 맹렬하므로 그것이 저주를 받겠고 그들의 진노가 잔인하므로 그것이 저주를 받을지어다. 내가 그들을 야곱 안에서 나누고 이스라엘 안에서 그들을 흩으리라.

8. 8 "Judah, your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your fathers sons will bow down to you.

   8 ¶ 유다야, 너는 네 형제들이 찬양할 자니라. 네 손이 네 원수들의 목을 잡을 것이요, 네 아버지의 자식들이 네 앞에서 절하리라.

9. 9 You are a lions cub, O Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness--who dares to rouse him?

   9 유다는 사자 새끼니라. 내 아들아, 네가 탈취물에서 떠나 위로 올라갔도다. 그가 엎드리고 웅크린 것이 사자 같고 늙은 사자 같으니 누가 그를 깨워 일어나게 하리오?

10. 10 The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the rulers staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is his.

    10 실로가 오실 때까지 홀(笏)이 유다를 떠나지 아니하며 입법자가 그의 발들 사이에서 떠나지 아니하리니 그에게 백성이 모이리라.

11. 11 He will tether his donkey to a vine, his colt to the choicest branch; he will wash his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes.

    11 그가 자기의 나귀 새끼를 포도나무에 매며 자기 나귀의 어린 수나귀를 좋은 포도나무에 매리니 그가 자기 옷을 포도즙에 빨았고 자기 의복을 포도의 피에 빨았도다.

12. 12 His eyes will be darker than wine, his teeth whiter than milk.

    12 그의 눈은 포도즙으로 인해 붉겠고 그의 이는 우유로 인해 희게 되리라.

13. 13 "Zebulun will live by the seashore and become a haven for ships; his border will extend toward Sidon.

    13 ¶ 스불론은 바다의 항구에 거하리니 그는 배들을 대는 항구가 될 것이요, 그의 지경은 시돈까지 이르리라.

14. 14 "Issachar is a rawboned donkey lying down between two saddlebags.

    14 ¶ 잇사갈은 두 짐 사이에 꿇어앉아 있는 건장한 나귀니라.

15. 15 When he sees how good is his resting place and how pleasant is his land, he will bend his shoulder to the burden and submit to forced labor.

    15 안식하는 것이 좋은 것과 그 땅이 아름다운 것을 그가 보고는 어깨를 낮추어 짐을 메고 종이 되어 공세를 바쳤도다.

16. 16 "Dan will provide justice for his people as one of the tribes of Israel.

    16 ¶ 단은 이스라엘 지파들 중 하나로서 자기 백성을 재판하리라.

17. 17 Dan will be a serpent by the roadside, a viper along the path, that bites the horses heels so that its rider tumbles backward.

    17 단은 길가의 뱀이요, 행로의 독사로서 말발굽을 물어 그 위에 탄 자가 뒤로 떨어지게 하리라.

18. 18 "I look for your deliverance, O LORD.

    18 오 주여, 내가 주의 구원을 기다렸나이다.

19. 19 "Gad will be attacked by a band of raiders, but he will attack them at their heels.

    19 ¶ 갓은 군대가 그를 이길 것이나 끝에는 그가 이기리라.

20. 20 "Ashers food will be rich; he will provide delicacies fit for a king.

    20 ¶ 아셀에게서 나오는 그의 빵은 기름지리니 그가 왕의 진미를 내리라.

21. 21 "Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns.

    21 ¶ 납달리는 풀어놓은 암사슴이니 그가 좋은 말들을 내는도다.

22. 22 "Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a spring, whose branches climb over a wall.

    22 ¶ 요셉은 열매 많은 가지 곧 우물 옆의 열매 많은 가지인데 그것의 작은 가지들이 담을 넘는도다.

23. 23 With bitterness archers attacked him; they shot at him with hostility.

    23 활 쏘는 자들이 그를 심히 괴롭게 하고 그를 쏘며 그를 미워하였으나

24. 24 But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

    24 그의 활이 강하게 지속되었고 그의 손의 팔들이 야곱의 강력하신 하나님의 손에 의해 강하게 되었는데 (거기서부터 목자 곧 이스라엘의 돌이 나오는도다.)

25. 25 because of your fathers God, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of the breast and womb.

    25 그것들이 곧 너를 도우실 네 아버지의 하나님에 의해 강하게 되었고 또 전능자 곧 네게 복을 주시되 위로 하늘의 복과 아래 놓인 깊음의 복과 젖가슴의 복과 태의 복을 주실 분에 의해 강하게 되었도다.

26. 26 Your fathers blessings are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, than the bounty of the age-old hills. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.

    26 네 아버지의 복들이 내 조상들의 복들보다 나아서 영존하는 산들의 가장 먼 경계에 이르렀는데 그것들이 요셉의 머리에 내리고 자기 형제들로부터 구별된 자의 정수리에 내리리라.

27. 27 "Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he divides the plunder."

    27 ¶ 베냐민은 이리같이 먹이를 강탈하리니 그가 아침에는 탈취물을 먹고 저녁에는 노략물을 나누리라, 하니라.

28. 28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them, giving each the blessing appropriate to him.

    28 ¶ 이들이 모두 이스라엘의 열두 지파니라. 이같이 그들의 아버지가 그들에게 말하고 그들을 축복하되 각 사람의 복에 따라 그가 그들을 각각 축복하였더라.

29. 29 Then he gave them these instructions: "I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

    29 또 그가 그들에게 책무를 주며 그들에게 이르되, 내가 내 백성에게로 거두어지리니 헷 족속 에브론의 밭에 있는 굴에 내 조상들과 함께 나를 묻으라.

30. 30 the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre in Canaan, which Abraham bought as a burial place from Ephron the Hittite, along with the field.

    30 그 굴은 가나안 땅에 있는 마므레 앞의 막벨라 밭에 있느니라. 아브라함이 그것을 헷 족속 에브론의 밭과 함께 사서 소유 매장지로 삼았으므로

31. 31 There Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried, there Isaac and his wife Rebekah were buried, and there I buried Leah.

    31 그들이 아브라함과 그의 아내 사라를 거기에 묻었고 그들이 이삭과 그의 아내 리브가도 거기에 묻었으며 나도 레아를 거기에 묻었노라.

32. 32 The field and the cave in it were bought from the Hittites."

    32 그 밭과 그 안에 있는 굴은 헷의 자손들에게서 산 것이니라, 하니라.

33. 33 When Jacob had finished giving instructions to his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed, breathed his last and was gathered to his people.

    33 야곱이 자기 아들들에게 명령하기를 마친 뒤 발을 침상 안으로 모으고 숨을 거두어 자기 백성에게로 거두어지니라.
