창세기 50장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Joseph threw himself upon his father and wept over him and kissed him.

   1 요셉이 자기 아버지 얼굴에 엎드려 그에게 얼굴을 댄 채 울고 그에게 입을 맞추며

2. 2 Then Joseph directed the physicians in his service to embalm his father Israel. So the physicians embalmed him,

   2 자기의 신하 의사들에게 명령하여 자기 아버지 몸에 향료를 넣게 하매 의사들이 이스라엘에게 향료를 넣으니라.

3. 3 taking a full forty days, for that was the time required for embalming. And the Egyptians mourned for him seventy days.

   3 그들이 그를 위해 사십 일을 채웠으니 이는 그들이 향료를 넣은 자들의 날수를 그렇게 채웠기 때문이더라. 이집트 사람들이 칠십 일 동안 그를 위해 애곡하니라.

4. 4 When the days of mourning had passed, Joseph said to Pharaohs court, "If I have found favor in your eyes, speak to Pharaoh for me. Tell him,

   4 그를 위해 애곡하는 날들이 지나매 요셉이 파라오의 집에게 말하여 이르되, 이제 내가 너희 눈앞에서 은혜를 입었거든 원하건대 파라오의 귀에 고하여 이르기를,

5. 5 My father made me swear an oath and said, "I am about to die; bury me in the tomb I dug for myself in the land of Canaan." Now let me go up and bury my father; then I will return."

   5 내 아버지께서 나에게 맹세하게 하여 이르시되, 보라, 내가 죽거든 너는 내가 가나안 땅에 나를 위해 파 둔 내 무덤에 나를 묻으라, 하셨나이다. 그러므로 이제 원하건대 내가 올라가서 내 아버지를 묻게 하소서. 내가 다시 오리이다, 하라, 하였더니

6. 6 Pharaoh said, "Go up and bury your father, as he made you swear to do."

   6 파라오가 이르되, 네 아버지가 너에게 맹세하게 한 대로 올라가서 그를 묻으라, 하니라.

7. 7 So Joseph went up to bury his father. All Pharaohs officials accompanied him--the dignitaries of his court and all the dignitaries of Egypt--

   7 ¶ 요셉이 자기 아버지를 묻으러 올라가니 파라오의 모든 신하들과 그의 집 장로들과 이집트 땅의 모든 장로들과

8. 8 besides all the members of Josephs household and his brothers and those belonging to his fathers household. Only their children and their flocks and herds were left in Goshen.

   8 요셉의 온 집과 그의 형제들과 그의 아버지 집이 그와 함께 올라갔고 그들의 어린것들과 양 떼와 소 떼만 고센 땅에 남았더라.

9. 9 Chariots and horsemen also went up with him. It was a very large company.

   9 병거들과 기병들이 다 그와 함께 올라갔는데 그것은 심히 큰 무리더라.

10. 10 When they reached the threshing floor of Atad, near the Jordan, they lamented loudly and bitterly; and there Joseph observed a seven-day period of mourning for his father.

    10 그들이 요르단 건너편에 있는 아닷의 타작마당에 이르러 거기서 매우 비통한 애가로 크게 애곡하였으며 그가 자기 아버지를 위해 이레 동안 애곡하였더니

11. 11 When the Canaanites who lived there saw the mourning at the threshing floor of Atad, they said, "The Egyptians are holding a solemn ceremony of mourning." That is why that place near the Jordan is called Abel Mizraim.

    11 그 땅 거주민들인 가나안 족속이 아닷의 마당에서 애곡하는 것을 보고 이르되, 이것은 이집트 사람들에게 심히 슬픈 애곡이라, 하였으므로 그곳의 이름을 아벨미스라임이라 하였는데 그곳은 요르단 건너편에 있느니라.

12. 12 So Jacobs sons did as he had commanded them:

    12 그의 아들들이 그가 자기들에게 명령한 대로 그에게 행하였더라.

13. 13 They carried him to the land of Canaan and buried him in the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre, which Abraham had bought as a burial place from Ephron the Hittite, along with the field.

    13 그의 아들들이 그를 가나안 땅으로 옮겨 마므레 앞의 막벨라 밭에 있는 굴에 묻었는데 그 굴은 아브라함이 헷 족속 에브론의 밭과 함께 사서 소유 매장지로 삼은 곳이더라.

14. 14 After burying his father, Joseph returned to Egypt, together with his brothers and all the others who had gone with him to bury his father.

    14 ¶ 요셉이 자기 아버지를 묻은 뒤에 자기 형제들과 또 자기 아버지를 묻으려고 자기와 함께 올라간 모든 자들과 더불어 이집트로 돌아왔더라.

15. 15 When Josephs brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, "What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?"

    15 ¶ 요셉의 형들이 자기들의 아버지가 죽은 것을 보고 이르되, 혹시 요셉이 우리를 미워하여 우리가 그에게 행한 모든 악을 반드시 우리에게 갚을 수도 있다, 하고는

16. 16 So they sent word to Joseph, saying, "Your father left these instructions before he died:

    16 요셉에게 사자를 보내어 이르되, 당신의 아버지께서 돌아가시기 전에 명령하여 이르시기를,

17. 17 This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly. Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father." When their message came to him, Joseph wept.

    17 너희는 이같이 요셉에게 말하라. 네 형들이 네게 악을 행하였더라도 이제 원하건대 그들의 범법 곧 그들의 죄를 용서하라, 하셨나니 이제 원하건대 당신 아버지의 하나님의 종들의 범법을 용서하소서, 하매 그들이 그에게 말할 때에 요셉이 울었더라.

18. 18 His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. "We are your slaves," they said.

    18 그의 형들이 또한 가서 그의 얼굴 앞에 엎드려 이르되, 보소서, 우리는 당신의 종들이니이다, 하니

19. 19 But Joseph said to them, "Dont be afraid. Am I in the place of God?

    19 요셉이 그들에게 이르되, 두려워하지 마소서, 내가 하나님을 대신하리이까?

20. 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

    20 다만 당신들에 대해 말하자면 당신들은 나를 대적하여 악을 생각하였으나 하나님께서는 그 일을 선이 되도록 의도하시고 이날 드러난 것과 같이 그 일을 이루사 많은 사람을 살려 두셨나니

21. 21 So then, dont be afraid. I will provide for you and your children." And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.

    21 그러므로 이제 당신들은 두려워하지 마소서. 내가 당신들과 당신들의 어린것들을 부양하리이다, 하고 그들을 위로하며 그들에게 친절히 말하였더라.

22. 22 Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his fathers family. He lived a hundred and ten years

    22 ¶ 요셉 곧 그와 그의 아버지 집이 이집트에 거하였는데 요셉이 백십 년을 살았고

23. 23 and saw the third generation of Ephraims children. Also the children of Makir son of Manasseh were placed at birth on Josephs knees.

    23 에브라임의 자손을 삼 대까지 보았으며 므낫세의 아들 마길의 아이들도 요셉의 무릎 위에서 자랐더라.

24. 24 Then Joseph said to his brothers, "I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob."

    24 요셉이 자기 형제들에게 이르되, 나는 죽으나 하나님께서 반드시 너희를 찾아오사 너희를 이 땅에서 빼내어 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 맹세하신 땅으로 데려가시리라, 하고

25. 25 And Joseph made the sons of Israel swear an oath and said, "God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up from this place."

    25 또 요셉이 이스라엘 자손에게 맹세하게 하여 이르기를, 하나님께서 반드시 너희를 찾아오시리니 너희는 여기에서 내 뼈들을 가지고 올라갈지니라, 하였더라.

26. 26 So Joseph died at the age of a hundred and ten. And after they embalmed him, he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.

    26 이렇게 요셉이 백십 세에 죽으매 그들이 그의 몸에 향료를 넣고 그를 이집트에서 관에 넣었더라.
