1. 1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt,

   1 주께서 이집트 땅에서 모세와 아론에게 말씀하여 이르시되,

2. 2 "This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.

   2 이달이 너희에게 달들의 시작이 될지니 곧 그것이 너희에게 한 해의 첫 달이 될지니라.

3. 3 Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household.

   3 ¶ 너희는 이스라엘 온 회중에게 말하여 이르라. 이달 십일에 그들은 자기 조상들 집에 따라 자기들을 위해 각 사람이 어린양을 취하되 한 집에 어린양 한 마리를 취할지니라.

4. 4 If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat.

   4 그 어린양에 대하여 집안사람이 너무 적으면 그와 그의 집 옆의 그의 이웃이 혼들의 수에 따라 그것을 취하되 각 사람이 자기가 먹는 양에 따라 그 어린양에 대하여 계산할지니라.

5. 5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats.

   5 너희의 어린양은 흠 없고 일 년 된 수컷이 될지니라. 너희는 양들이나 염소들로부터 그것을 취하고

6. 6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the people of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.

   6 같은 달 십사일까지 그것을 간직할 것이요, 저녁때에 이스라엘 회중이 모여 전체 군중이 그것을 죽일지니라.

7. 7 Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.

   7 그들은 피를 취해 그 양을 먹을 집의 양옆 기둥들과 문 상인방에 뿌리고

8. 8 That same night they are to eat the meat roasted over the fire, along with bitter herbs, and bread made without yeast.

   8 그 밤에 그 고기를 먹되 불에 구워 누룩 없는 빵과 쓴 채소와 함께 그것을 먹을지니라.

9. 9 Do not eat the meat raw or cooked in water, but roast it over the fire--head, legs and inner parts.

   9 그것을 날로 먹거나 결코 물에 삶지 말고 그것의 머리와 다리와 내장을 불에 구우라.

10. 10 Do not leave any of it till morning; if some is left till morning, you must burn it.

    10 너희는 그것 중에서 아무것도 아침까지 남겨 두지 말고 그것 중에서 아침까지 남아 있는 것은 불로 태울지니라.

11. 11 This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the LORDS Passover.

    11 ¶ 너희는 그것을 이렇게 먹을지니 곧 너희 허리에 띠를 띠고 발에 신을 신고 손에 지팡이를 잡고 너희는 급히 그것을 먹을지니라. 그것은 주의 유월절이니라.

12. 12 "On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn--both men and animals--and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.

    12 내가 이 밤에 이집트 땅을 지나가며 사람과 짐승을 막론하고 이집트 땅의 처음 난 모든 것을 치고 이집트의 모든 신들에게 심판을 집행하리라. 나는 주니라.

13. 13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.

    13 그 피가 너희가 거하는 집 위에 있어 너희에게 표적이 될 것이니라. 내가 그 피를 볼 때에 너희를 넘어가리니 내가 이집트 땅을 칠 때에 그 재앙이 너희에게 닥쳐 너희를 멸하지 아니하리라.

14. 14 "This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD--a lasting ordinance.

    14 이날은 너희에게 기념일이 될지니 너희는 그것을 너희 대대로 주께 명절로 지키고 규례에 따라 그것을 영원토록 명절로 지킬지니라.

15. 15 For seven days you are to eat bread made without yeast. On the first day remove the yeast from your houses, for whoever eats anything with yeast in it from the first day through the seventh must be cut off from Israel.

    15 너희는 이레 동안 누룩 없는 빵을 먹을 것이요, 바로 그 첫째 날 너희 집에서 누룩을 제거할지니 누구든지 첫째 날부터 일곱째 날까지 누룩 있는 빵을 먹으면 그 혼은 이스라엘에서 끊어지리라.

16. 16 On the first day hold a sacred assembly, and another one on the seventh day. Do no work at all on these days, except to prepare food for everyone to eat--that is all you may do.

    16 첫째 날에 거룩한 집회가 있으며 일곱째 날에도 너희에게 거룩한 집회가 있으리니 그날들에는 각 사람이 먹는 일 외에 어떤 일도 하지 말고 너희는 오직 그 일만 할지니라.

17. 17 "Celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt. Celebrate this day as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come.

    17 너희는 무교절을 지킬지니 이는 바로 이날에 내가 너희 군대를 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나왔기 때문이니라. 그러므로 너희는 너희 대대로 이날을 지키되 규례에 따라 영원토록 지킬지니라.

18. 18 In the first month you are to eat bread made without yeast, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day.

    18 ¶ 첫째 달 곧 그달 십사일 저녁부터 그달 이십일일 저녁까지 너희는 누룩 없는 빵을 먹을 것이요,

19. 19 For seven days no yeast is to be found in your houses. And whoever eats anything with yeast in it must be cut off from the community of Israel, whether he is an alien or native-born.

    19 이레 동안 너희 집에서 누룩이 발견되지 않게 할지니라. 누구든지 누룩 있는 것을 먹으면 바로 그 혼은 타국인이든지 그 땅에서 태어난 자든지 이스라엘 회중에게서 끊어지리니

20. 20 Eat nothing made with yeast. Wherever you live, you must eat unleavened bread."

    20 너희는 누룩을 넣은 것은 아무것도 먹지 말고 너희 모든 거처에서 누룩 없는 빵을 먹을지니라, 하시니라.

21. 21 Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, "Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb.

    21 ¶ 그때에 모세가 이스라엘 모든 장로들을 불러 그들에게 이르되, 너희 가족들에 따라 너희를 위해 어린양을 끌어내어 취한 뒤 그 유월절 어린양을 죽이라.

22. 22 Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. Not one of you shall go out the door of his house until morning.

    22 너희는 우슬초 한 묶음을 가져다가 대야에 담은 피에 그것을 적셔서 대야에 있는 피를 문의 상인방과 양옆 기둥들에 뿌리고 아침까지 너희 중 한 사람도 자기 집 문밖에 나가지 말지니라.

23. 23 When the LORD goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.

    23 주께서 이집트 사람들을 치려고 한가운데를 지나가실 때에 문의 상인방과 양옆 기둥들의 피를 보시면 주께서 그 문을 넘어가시고 파멸시키는 자가 너희 집에 들어가 너희를 치지 못하게 하시리라.

24. 24 "Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants.

    24 너희는 이것을 너와 네 아들들에게 규례로 삼아 영원토록 지킬 것이요,

25. 25 When you enter the land that the LORD will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony.

    25 주께서 약속하신 대로 그분께서 너희에게 주실 땅에 너희가 들어갈 때에 이 예식을 지킬 것이니라.

26. 26 And when your children ask you, What does this ceremony mean to you?

    26 이후에 너희 자녀들이 너희에게 이르기를, 이 예식이 무엇을 뜻하나이까? 하거든

27. 27 then tell them, It is the Passover sacrifice to the LORD, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians." Then the people bowed down and worshiped.

    27 너희는 이르기를, 그것은 주의 유월절 희생물이니라. 그분께서 이집트 사람들을 치실 때에 이집트에 있던 이스라엘 자손의 집들을 넘어가사 우리의 집들을 구출하셨느니라, 하라, 하매 백성이 머리 숙여 경배하니라.

28. 28 The Israelites did just what the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron.

    28 이스라엘 자손이 물러가 주께서 모세와 아론에게 명령하신 대로 행하되 그대로 행하였더라.

29. 29 At midnight the LORD struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well.

    29 ¶ 한밤중에 주께서 이집트 땅의 처음 난 모든 것 즉 왕좌에 앉아 있는 파라오의 처음 난 자부터 감옥에 갇힌 자의 처음 난 자까지 치시고 가축의 처음 난 모든 것을 치시매

30. 30 Pharaoh and all his officials and all the Egyptians got up during the night, and there was loud wailing in Egypt, for there was not a house without someone dead.

    30 그 밤에 파라오와 그의 모든 신하들과 모든 이집트 사람들이 일어나고 이집트에 큰 부르짖음이 있었으니 이는 사람이 죽지 않은 집이 하나도 없었기 때문이더라.

31. 31 During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the LORD as you have requested.

    31 ¶ 밤에 그가 모세와 아론을 불러 이르되, 너희와 이스라엘 자손은 일어나 내 백성 가운데서 떠나고 너희가 말한 대로 가서 주를 섬기며

32. 32 Take your flocks and herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me."

    32 너희가 말한 대로 너희 양 떼와 소 떼도 가져가고 떠나라. 또한 나를 축복하라, 하였고

33. 33 The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country. "For otherwise," they said, "we will all die!"

    33 이집트 사람들은 이르기를, 우리가 다 죽은 자가 되었도다, 하며 백성을 서두르게 하여 그 땅에서 급히 그들을 내보내려 하였으므로

34. 34 So the people took their dough before the yeast was added, and carried it on their shoulders in kneading troughs wrapped in clothing.

    34 반죽이 발효되기 전에 백성이 자기들의 반죽과 빵 반죽 그릇들을 가져다가 옷에 묶어 어깨에 메니라.

35. 35 The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing.

    35 이스라엘 자손이 모세의 말대로 행하여 이집트 사람들에게서 은보석과 금보석과 의복을 빌리매

36. 36 The LORD had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians.

    36 주께서 이집트 사람들 눈앞에서 백성에게 호의를 베푸사 그들이 요구하는 것들을 저들이 빌려주게 하셨으므로 그들이 이집트 사람들을 노략하였더라.

37. 37 The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Succoth. There were about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children.

    37 ¶ 이스라엘 자손이 라메셋에서 떠나 숙곳으로 이동하였는데 아이들 외에 걷는 남자가 약 육십만 명이었으며

38. 38 Many other people went up with them, as well as large droves of livestock, both flocks and herds.

    38 섞인 무리와 양 떼와 소 떼와 심히 많은 가축도 그들과 함께 올라왔더라.

39. 39 With the dough they had brought from Egypt, they baked cakes of unleavened bread. The dough was without yeast because they had been driven out of Egypt and did not have time to prepare food for themselves.

    39 그들이 이집트에서 가지고 나온 반죽으로 누룩 없는 납작한 빵들을 구웠으니 이는 그것이 발효되지 아니하였기 때문이더라. 그들이 이집트에서 쫓겨 나오느라 지체할 수가 없어서 자기들을 위해 아무 양식도 예비하지 못하였더라.

40. 40 Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years.

    40 ¶ 한편 이집트에 거하던 이스라엘 자손의 체류 기간은 사백삼십 년이었더라.

41. 41 At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the LORDS divisions left Egypt.

    41 사백삼십 년이 끝나는 때에 바로 그날 주의 모든 군대들이 이집트 땅에서 나왔으므로

42. 42 Because the LORD kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the LORD for the generations to come.

    42 그것은 주께서 그들을 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나오신 것으로 인하여 주를 위해 많은 것들을 지켜야 할 밤이니라. 이것은 이스라엘 모든 자손이 그들의 대대로 지켜야 할 주의 그 밤이니라.

43. 43 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "These are the regulations for the Passover: "No foreigner is to eat of it.

    43 ¶ 주께서 모세와 아론에게 이르시되, 유월절 어린양에 관한 규례는 이러하니라. 타국인은 그것을 먹지 못할 것이나

44. 44 Any slave you have bought may eat of it after you have circumcised him,

    44 각 사람이 돈으로 산 종은 네가 그에게 할례를 행한 뒤에 그것을 먹을 것이며

45. 45 but a temporary resident and a hired worker may not eat of it.

    45 외국인과 품꾼은 그것을 먹지 못할 것이니라.

46. 46 "It must be eaten inside one house; take none of the meat outside the house. Do not break any of the bones.

    46 한 집에서 그것을 먹되 너는 그 고기를 조금이라도 집 밖으로 가지고 나가지 말고 너희는 그것의 뼈를 꺾지 말지니라.

47. 47 The whole community of Israel must celebrate it.

    47 이스라엘 온 회중은 그것을 지킬지니라.

48. 48 "An alien living among you who wants to celebrate the LORDS Passover must have all the males in his household circumcised; then he may take part like one born in the land. No uncircumcised male may eat of it.

    48 타국인이 너와 함께 체류하며 주께 유월절을 지키려 하거든 그의 모든 남자들이 할례를 받은 뒤에야 비로소 그가 가까이 와서 그것을 지킬지니라. 그는 그 땅에서 태어난 자같이 될지니 할례받지 않은 자는 그것을 먹지 못할 것이니라.

49. 49 The same law applies to the native-born and to the alien living among you."

    49 본국에서 태어난 자와 너희 가운데 체류하는 타국인에게 한 법을 적용할지니라, 하셨으므로

50. 50 All the Israelites did just what the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron.

    50 이스라엘 모든 자손이 이같이 행하되 주께서 모세와 아론에게 명령하신 대로 그들이 그대로 행하였더라.

51. 51 And on that very day the LORD brought the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions.

    51 바로 그날 주께서 이스라엘 자손을 그들의 군대대로 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나오셨더라.
