출애굽기 16장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came to the Desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had come out of Egypt.

   1 그들이 엘림에서 이동하였고 이스라엘 자손 온 회중이 이집트 땅에서 떠난 뒤 둘째 달 십오일에 엘림과 시내 산 사이에 있는 신 광야에 다다랐더라.

2. 2 In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.

   2 이스라엘 자손 전체 회중이 광야에서 모세와 아론에게 불평하며

3. 3 The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the LORDS hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death."

   3 이스라엘 자손이 그들에게 이르되, 우리가 이집트 땅에서 고기 솥 옆에 앉았던 때와 빵을 배불리 먹던 때에 주의 손에 죽었더라면 좋았을 터인데 너희가 이 광야로 우리를 데리고 나와 이 전체 집회 군중을 굶주려 죽게 하는도다, 하니라.

4. 4 Then the LORD said to Moses, "I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

   4 ¶ 그때에 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 보라, 내가 너희를 위해 하늘로부터 빵을 비같이 내리리니 백성이 날마다 나가서 정한 양을 거둘지니라. 이로써 그들이 내 법 안에서 걸으려 하는지 걸으려 하지 아니하는지 내가 그들을 시험하리라.

5. 5 On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days."

   5 여섯째 날에는 그들이 자기들이 가져오는 것을 예비할지니 그것은 그들이 날마다 거두는 것의 두 배가 되리라, 하시니라.

6. 6 So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, "In the evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt,

   6 모세와 아론이 이스라엘 모든 자손에게 이르되, 저녁때에는 너희가 주께서 너희를 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나오셨음을 알 것이요,

7. 7 and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?"

   7 아침에는 너희가 주의 영광을 보리니 이는 너희가 주께 불평하는 것을 그분께서 들으시기 때문이니라. 우리가 누구이기에 너희가 우리에게 불평하느냐? 하며

8. 8 Moses also said, "You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD."

   8 또 모세가 이르되, 주께서 저녁에는 너희에게 고기를 주사 먹게 하시고 아침에는 빵으로 배불리시리니 이는 너희가 주께 불평하는 그 불평을 그분께서 들으시기 때문이니라. 우리가 누구냐? 너희가 불평하는 것은 우리에게 하는 것이 아니요, 주께 하는 것이니라, 하였더라.

9. 9 Then Moses told Aaron, "Say to the entire Israelite community, Come before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling."

   9 ¶ 모세가 아론에게 이르되, 이스라엘 자손 온 회중에게 말하기를, 주 앞에 가까이 오라. 그분께서 너희가 불평하는 것을 들으셨느니라, 하라, 하매

10. 10 While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud.

    10 아론이 이스라엘 자손 전체 회중에게 말할 때에 그들이 광야 쪽을 바라보니, 보라, 주의 영광이 구름 속에 나타나니라.

11. 11 The LORD said to Moses,

    11 ¶ 주께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되,

12. 12 "I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God."

    12 내가 이스라엘 자손이 불평하는 것을 들었노라. 그들에게 말하여 이르기를, 너희가 저녁에는 고기를 먹고 아침에는 빵으로 배부르리니 내가 주 너희 하나님인 줄을 너희가 알리라, 하라, 하시니라.

13. 13 That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.

    13 저녁에 메추라기들이 올라와 진영을 덮었고 아침에는 이슬이 군대 사방에 깔려 있었는데

14. 14 When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor.

    14 깔려 있던 이슬이 올라가니, 보라, 광야의 표면에 작고 둥근 것 즉 땅바닥에 내리는 흰 서리같이 작은 것이 깔려 있었으므로

15. 15 When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat.

    15 이스라엘 자손이 그것을 보고 그것이 무엇인지 알지 못하여 서로 이르되, 그것은 만나라, 하매 모세가 그들에게 이르되, 이것은 주께서 너희에게 주어 먹게 하신 빵이라.

16. 16 This is what the LORD has commanded: Each one is to gather as much as he needs. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent."

    16 ¶ 주께서 명령하신 것이 이러하니라. 이르시되, 각 사람이 자기가 먹을 만큼 그것을 거둘지니 즉 너희 사람 수대로 각 사람이 일 오멜씩 취하되 너희 각 사람이 자기 장막에 있는 자들을 위해 취하라, 하셨느니라, 하니라.

17. 17 The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little.

    17 이스라엘 자손이 그렇게 하여 거두되 더 많이 거두는 자도 있었고 더 적게 거두는 자도 있었으나

18. 18 And when they measured it by the omer, he who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little. Each one gathered as much as he needed.

    18 오멜로 그것을 되어 보니 많이 거둔 자도 남지 아니하고 적게 거둔 자도 모자라지 아니하여 그들이 각각 자기가 먹을 만큼 거두었더라.

19. 19 Then Moses said to them, "No one is to keep any of it until morning."

    19 모세가 이르기를, 아무도 아침까지 그것을 남겨 두지 말라, 하였으나

20. 20 However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.

    20 그럼에도 불구하고 그들이 모세의 말에 귀를 기울이지 아니하고 그들 중의 몇 사람이 그것을 아침까지 남겨 두었더니 거기서 벌레가 생기고 냄새가 나므로 모세가 그들에게 노하니라.

21. 21 Each morning everyone gathered as much as he needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away.

    21 그들이 아침마다 그것을 거두되 각 사람이 자기가 먹을 만큼 거두었는데 해가 뜨겁게 되면 그것이 녹았더라.

22. 22 On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much--two omers for each person--and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses.

    22 ¶ 여섯째 날에는 그들이 두 배의 빵 곧 한 사람을 위해 이 오멜씩 거두니라. 회중의 모든 치리자들이 와서 모세에게 고하매

23. 23 He said to them, "This is what the LORD commanded: Tomorrow is to be a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning."

    23 그가 그들에게 이르되, 주께서 말씀하신 것이 이러하니라. 이르시되, 내일은 안식하는 날로 주에게 거룩한 안식일이니라. 너희가 구울 것은 오늘 굽고 끓일 것은 끓이며 남아 있는 것은 너희를 위해 모아 두어 아침까지 간수하라, 하셨느니라, 하니

24. 24 So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it.

    24 그들이 모세가 명령한 대로 아침까지 그것을 모아 두었으나 거기서 냄새도 나지 아니하고 그 안에 벌레도 생기지 아니하였으므로

25. 25 "Eat it today," Moses said, "because today is a Sabbath to the LORD. You will not find any of it on the ground today.

    25 모세가 이르되, 오늘은 그것을 먹으라. 오늘은 주께 안식일이므로 오늘은 너희가 그것을 들에서 찾지 못하리라.

26. 26 Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any."

    26 엿새 동안 너희는 그것을 거둘 것이나 일곱째 날은 안식일이므로 그날에는 아무것도 없으리라, 하니라.

27. 27 Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none.

    27 ¶ 일곱째 날에 백성 중 몇 사람이 거두러 나갔다가 아무것도 찾지 못하니라.

28. 28 Then the LORD said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?

    28 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 너희가 어느 때까지 내 명령들과 내 법들 지키기를 거부하려느냐?

29. 29 Bear in mind that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where he is on the seventh day; no one is to go out."

    29 보라, 주가 너희에게 안식일을 주었으므로 여섯째 날에는 이틀 분의 빵을 너희에게 주노니 일곱째 날에는 너희 각 사람이 자기 처소에 머물고 아무도 자기 처소에서 나오지 말지니라, 하시매

30. 30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

    30 이에 백성이 일곱째 날에 안식하니라.

31. 31 The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.

    31 이스라엘 집이 그것의 이름을 만나라 하였는데 그것은 고수풀 씨같이 희고 그것의 맛은 꿀로 만든 과자들 같았더라.

32. 32 Moses said, "This is what the LORD has commanded: Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt."

    32 ¶ 모세가 이르되, 주께서 명령하시는 것이 이러하니라. 이르시되, 그것으로 일 오멜을 가득 채워 너희 대대 자손들을 위해 간수하라. 이것은 내가 너희를 이집트 땅에서 데리고 나올 때에 광야에서 너희를 먹이기 위해 사용한 빵을 그들이 보게 하려 함이라, 하시느니라, 하고

33. 33 So Moses said to Aaron, "Take a jar and put an omer of manna in it. Then place it before the LORD to be kept for the generations to come."

    33 또 모세가 아론에게 이르되, 항아리를 가져다가 만나 일 오멜을 가득 되어서 그 안에 둔 뒤 그것을 주 앞에 두어 너희 대대 자손들을 위해 간수하라, 하매

34. 34 As the LORD commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna in front of the Testimony, that it might be kept.

    34 아론이 주께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 그것을 증언 앞에 두어 간수하게 하니라.

35. 35 The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the border of Canaan.

    35 이스라엘 자손이 사람이 거주하는 땅에 다다를 때까지 사십 년 동안 만나를 먹되 곧 가나안 땅의 경계에 다다를 때까지 그들이 만나를 먹었더라.

36. 36 (An omer is one tenth of an ephah.)

    36 그런데 일 오멜은 십분의 일 에바니라.
