출애굽기 19장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 In the third month after the Israelites left Egypt--on the very day--they came to the Desert of Sinai.

   1 이스라엘 자손이 이집트 땅에서 나오던 때에 셋째 달이 시작되는 바로 그날 그들이 시내 광야로 들어갔으니

2. 2 After they set out from Rephidim, they entered the Desert of Sinai, and Israel camped there in the desert in front of the mountain.

   2 이는 그들이 르비딤을 떠나 시내 사막으로 가서 광야에 장막을 쳤기 때문이라. 거기서 이스라엘이 그 산 앞에 진을 쳤더라.

3. 3 Then Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain and said, "This is what you are to say to the house of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel:

   3 모세가 하나님께 올라가니 주께서 그 산에서 그를 불러 이르시되, 너는 이같이 야곱의 집에게 말하고 이스라엘 자손에게 고하라.

4. 4 You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles wings and brought you to myself.

   4 내가 이집트 사람들에게 무슨 일을 하였는지, 어떻게 너희를 독수리 날개들에 실어 내게 데려왔는지 너희가 보았느니라.

5. 5 Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine,

   5 그러므로 이제 너희가 참으로 내 목소리에 순종하고 내 언약을 지키면 너희는 내게 모든 백성들보다 뛰어난 특별 소유 보물이 되리니 이는 온 땅이 내 것이기 때문이라.

6. 6 you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites."

   6 또 너희는 내게 제사장 왕국이 되며 거룩한 민족이 되리라. 네가 이스라엘 자손에게 고할 말들이 이러하니라, 하시니라.

7. 7 So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the words the LORD had commanded him to speak.

   7 ¶ 모세가 와서 백성의 장로들을 불러 주께서 자기에게 명령하신 이 모든 말씀들을 그들의 얼굴 앞에 내놓으니

8. 8 The people all responded together, "We will do everything the LORD has said." So Moses brought their answer back to the LORD.

   8 온 백성이 함께 응답하여 이르되, 주께서 말씀하신 모든 것을 우리가 행하리이다, 하므로 모세가 백성의 말들을 주께 도로 가져가매

9. 9 The LORD said to Moses, "I am going to come to you in a dense cloud, so that the people will hear me speaking with you and will always put their trust in you." Then Moses told the LORD what the people had said.

   9 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 보라, 내가 짙은 구름 가운데서 네게 온 것은 내가 너와 말할 때에 백성이 듣게 하려 함이며 또한 영원히 네 말을 믿게 하려 함이니라, 하시니라. 모세가 백성의 말들을 주께 고하니

10. 10 And the LORD said to Moses, "Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes

    10 ¶ 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 백성에게 가서 오늘과 내일 그들을 거룩히 구별하고 그들이 자기들의 옷을 빨게 하며

11. 11 and be ready by the third day, because on that day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

    11 셋째 날을 대비하게 하라. 셋째 날 주가 온 백성의 눈앞에서 시내 산에 내려오리라.

12. 12 Put limits for the people around the mountain and tell them, Be careful that you do not go up the mountain or touch the foot of it. Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.

    12 너는 백성을 위해 사방에 경계를 정해 주고 이르기를, 너희는 스스로 조심하여 그 산으로 올라오거나 산의 경계에 닿지 말라. 누구든지 산에 닿는 자는 반드시 죽임을 당할 것이니라.

13. 13 He shall surely be stoned or shot with arrows; not a hand is to be laid on him. Whether man or animal, he shall not be permitted to live. Only when the rams horn sounds a long blast may they go up to the mountain."

    13 그것에 손을 대지 말라. 오직 그는 반드시 돌로 맞거나 화살로 꿰뚫리리니 그것이 짐승이든지 사람이든지 살지 못하리라. 나팔 소리가 오랫동안 나면 그들이 산으로 올라올지니라, 하라, 하시니라.

14. 14 After Moses had gone down the mountain to the people, he consecrated them, and they washed their clothes.

    14 ¶ 모세가 그 산에서 백성에게로 내려와 백성을 거룩히 구별하니 그들이 자기들의 옷을 빨더라.

15. 15 Then he said to the people, "Prepare yourselves for the third day. Abstain from sexual relations."

    15 그가 백성에게 이르되, 셋째 날을 대비하고 너희 아내에게 가지 말라, 하니라.

16. 16 On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled.

    16 ¶ 셋째 날 아침에 천둥과 번개와 짙은 구름이 그 산 위에 있고 나팔 소리가 심히 크므로 진영에 있는 온 백성이 떨더라.

17. 17 Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

    17 모세가 하나님과 만나려고 백성을 진영에서 데리고 나와 그들을 산기슭에 세웠는데

18. 18 Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the LORD descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, the whole mountain trembled violently,

    18 시내 산이 온통 연기로 자욱하였으니 이는 주께서 불 가운데서 그 위로 내려오셨기 때문이더라. 그곳의 연기가 용광로 연기같이 위로 올라갔고 온 산이 크게 진동하였더라.

19. 19 and the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. Then Moses spoke and the voice of God answered him.

    19 나팔 소리가 오랫동안 나며 점점 더 커질 때에 모세가 말하니 하나님께서 그에게 음성으로 응답하셨더라.

20. 20 The LORD descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up

    20 주께서 시내 산에 곧 그 산의 꼭대기에 내려오시고 주께서 그 산의 꼭대기로 모세를 부르시므로 모세가 올라가매

21. 21 and the LORD said to him, "Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see the LORD and many of them perish.

    21 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 내려가서 백성에게 명하라. 그들이 자세히 보려고 돌파하여 주에게 오다가 그들 중에서 많은 사람들이 죽을까 염려하노라.

22. 22 Even the priests, who approach the LORD, must consecrate themselves, or the LORD will break out against them."

    22 또 주에게 가까이 오는 제사장들도 그들 자신을 거룩히 구별하게 하라. 주가 그들을 향해 돌격할까 염려하노라, 하시니

23. 23 Moses said to the LORD, "The people cannot come up Mount Sinai, because you yourself warned us, Put limits around the mountain and set it apart as holy."

    23 모세가 주께 이르되, 주께서 우리에게 명하여 말씀하시기를, 산 주변에 경계를 정하고 산을 거룩히 구별하라, 하셨으므로 백성이 시내 산으로 올라올 수 없나이다, 하매

24. 24 The LORD replied, "Go down and bring Aaron up with you. But the priests and the people must not force their way through to come up to the LORD, or he will break out against them."

    24 주께서 그에게 이르시되, 가라, 너는 내려가서 아론과 함께 올라오고 제사장들과 백성이 돌파하여 주에게 올라오지 못하게 하라. 그가 그들을 향해 돌격할까 염려하노라, 하시니

25. 25 So Moses went down to the people and told them.

    25 이에 모세가 백성에게 내려가 그들에게 말하니라.
