출애굽기 33장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Leave this place, you and the people you brought up out of Egypt, and go up to the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saying, I will give it to your descendants.

   1 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 너와 또 네가 이집트 땅에서 데리고 올라온 백성은 여기를 떠나 내가 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 맹세하여 말하기를, 내가 네 씨에게 주리라, 한 그 땅으로 올라가라.

2. 2 I will send an angel before you and drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.

   2 내가 천사를 네 앞에 보내고 또 가나안 족속과 아모리 족속과 헷 족속과 브리스 족속과 히위 족속과 여부스 족속을 쫓아내며

3. 3 Go up to the land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people and I might destroy you on the way."

   3 너를 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅에 이르게 하리라. 그러나 나는 네 한가운데서 올라가지 아니하리라. 너는 목이 뻣뻣한 백성이므로 내가 길에서 너를 소멸시킬까 염려하노라, 하시니라.

4. 4 When the people heard these distressing words, they began to mourn and no one put on any ornaments.

   4 ¶ 백성이 이 나쁜 소식을 듣고 애곡하며 아무도 몸에 장식품을 걸치지 아니하였으니

5. 5 For the LORD had said to Moses, "Tell the Israelites, You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go with you even for a moment, I might destroy you. Now take off your ornaments and I will decide what to do with you."

   5 이는 주께서 모세에게 말씀하시기를, 이스라엘 자손에게 말하라. 너희는 목이 뻣뻣한 백성이라 내가 순식간에 네 한가운데로 올라가 너를 소멸시키리니 그러므로 이제 네게서 장식품을 제거하라. 그러면 내가 네게 무슨 일을 할지 알리라, 하셨기 때문이더라.

6. 6 So the Israelites stripped off their ornaments at Mount Horeb.

   6 이스라엘 자손이 호렙 산 옆에서 자기들의 장식품을 몸에서 제거하니라.

7. 7 Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp some distance away, calling it the "tent of meeting." Anyone inquiring of the LORD would go to the tent of meeting outside the camp.

   7 모세가 성막을 가져다가 진영 밖에 쳐서 진영과 멀리 떨어지게 하고 그것을 회중의 성막이라 부르니 주를 찾는 모든 자는 진영 밖에 있는 회중의 성막으로 나갔으며

8. 8 And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose and stood at the entrances to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent.

   8 모세가 성막으로 나갈 때에 온 백성이 일어나 저마다 자기 장막 문에 서서 모세가 성막에 들어갈 때까지 그를 바라보았더라.

9. 9 As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the LORD spoke with Moses.

   9 모세가 성막에 들어갈 때에 구름 기둥이 내려와 성막 문에 섰고 주께서 모세와 말씀하셨으며

10. 10 Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to his tent.

    10 온 백성은 성막 문에 구름 기둥이 서 있음을 보고 일어나 저마다 자기 장막 문에서 경배하였더라.

11. 11 The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.

    11 주께서는 마치 사람이 자기 친구와 이야기하듯 모세와 얼굴을 마주 대하여 말씀하셨으며 그는 다시 진영으로 돌아왔으나 그의 종 곧 눈의 아들 청년 여호수아는 성막에서 떠나지 아니하였더라.

12. 12 Moses said to the LORD, "You have been telling me, Lead these people, but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, I know you by name and you have found favor with me.

    12 ¶ 모세가 주께 이르되, 보소서, 주께서 내게 이르시기를, 이 백성을 데리고 올라가라, 하시면서 나와 함께 보내실 자를 내게 알려 주지 아니하셨나이다. 그럼에도 주께서 이르시기를, 내가 이름으로 너를 알고 또한 네가 내 눈앞에서 은혜를 입었도다, 하셨나이다.

13. 13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people."

    13 그러므로 이제 원하건대 내가 주의 눈앞에서 은혜를 입었거든 이제 주의 길을 내게 보여 주사 내가 주를 알게 하시고 내가 주의 눈앞에서 은혜를 입게 하소서. 또 이 민족이 주의 백성임을 깊이 생각하소서, 하매

14. 14 The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

    14 그분께서 이르시되, 내 얼굴이 네 앞에서 너와 함께 가리라. 내가 네게 안식을 주리라, 하시니

15. 15 Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.

    15 그가 그분께 이르되, 주의 얼굴이 내 앞에서 나와 함께 가지 아니하시려거든 우리를 여기에서 데리고 올라가지 마옵소서.

16. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?"

    16 나와 주의 백성이 주의 눈앞에서 은혜를 입은 줄을 여기에서 무엇으로 알리이까? 주께서 우리와 함께 가시는 것이 아니니이까? 그리하심으로써 우리 곧 나와 주의 백성이 지면 위의 모든 백성들로부터 구별되리이다, 하매

17. 17 And the LORD said to Moses, "I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name."

    17 주께서 모세에게 이르시되, 네가 말한 이 일도 내가 하리니 이는 네가 내 눈앞에서 은혜를 입었고 내가 이름으로 너를 알기 때문이니라, 하시니라.

18. 18 Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory."

    18 그가 이르되, 간청하건대 주의 영광을 내게 보여 주소서, 하매

19. 19 And the LORD said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

    19 그분께서 이르시되, 내가 내 모든 선함을 네 앞에 지나가게 하고 주의 이름을 네 앞에 선포할 것이며 내가 은혜를 베풀 자에게 은혜를 베풀고 내가 긍휼을 베풀 자에게 긍휼을 베풀리라, 하시고

20. 20 But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."

    20 또 그분께서 이르시되, 나를 보고서는 살 자가 아무도 없으므로 네가 내 얼굴을 볼 수 없느니라, 하시니라.

21. 21 Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.

    21 주께서 이르시되, 보라, 내 옆에 한 곳이 있으니 너는 반석 위에 설지니라.

22. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.

    22 내 영광이 지나갈 때에 내가 너를 그 반석 틈에 두고 내가 지나가는 동안 내 손으로 너를 덮었다가

23. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen."

    23 내 손을 거두리니 네가 내 뒷부분은 보되 내 얼굴은 보지 못하리라, 하시니라.
