출애굽기 5장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the desert."

   1 그 뒤에 모세와 아론이 들어가 파라오에게 고하되, 주 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이같이 말씀하시기를, 내 백성을 가게 하여 그들이 광야에서 나를 위해 명절을 지키게 하라, 하시나이다, 하니

2. 2 Pharaoh said, "Who is the LORD, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the LORD and I will not let Israel go."

   2 파라오가 이르되, 주가 누구이기에 내가 그의 음성에 순종하여 이스라엘을 가게 해야 하겠느냐? 나는 주를 알지 못하며 이스라엘도 가게 하지 아니하리라, 하매

3. 3 Then they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Now let us take a three-day journey into the desert to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God, or he may strike us with plagues or with the sword."

   3 그들이 이르되, 히브리 사람들의 하나님께서 우리를 만나셨으니 원하건대 우리가 사흘 길을 가서 사막으로 들어가 주 우리 하나님께 희생물을 드리게 하소서. 그분께서 역병이나 칼로 우리를 덮치실까 염려하나이다, 하매

4. 4 But the king of Egypt said, "Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their labor? Get back to your work!"

   4 이집트 왕이 그들에게 이르되, 모세와 아론아, 너희가 어찌하여 백성이 그들의 일을 하지 못하게 하느냐? 가서 너희 짐이나 지라, 하고

5. 5 Then Pharaoh said, "Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you are stopping them from working."

   5 또 파라오가 이르되, 보라, 이제 이 땅의 백성이 많은데 너희가 그들을 그들의 짐에서 벗어나게 하여 쉬게 하는도다, 하니라.

6. 6 That same day Pharaoh gave this order to the slave drivers and foremen in charge of the people:

   6 파라오가 바로 그날 백성의 작업 감독들과 그들의 직무 수행자들에게 명령하여 이르되,

7. 7 "You are no longer to supply the people with straw for making bricks; let them go and gather their own straw.

   7 너희는 이전과 같이 벽돌을 만드는 데 필요한 짚을 백성에게 더 이상 주지 말고 그들이 가서 스스로 짚을 거두게 하며

8. 8 But require them to make the same number of bricks as before; dont reduce the quota. They are lazy; that is why they are crying out, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

   8 또 그들이 지금까지 만든 벽돌의 수효대로 그들에게 부과하고 거기서 조금도 줄이지 말라. 그들이 게으르므로 소리 질러 이르기를, 우리가 가서 우리 하나님께 희생물을 드리자, 하니

9. 9 Make the work harder for the men so that they keep working and pay no attention to lies."

   9 그 사람들에게 더 많은 일을 주어 그들이 그 일로 수고하게 하고 헛된 말에 주의를 기울이지 못하게 할지니라, 하였더라.

10. 10 Then the slave drivers and the foremen went out and said to the people, "This is what Pharaoh says: I will not give you any more straw.

    10 ¶ 백성의 작업 감독들과 그들의 직무 수행자들이 나가서 백성에게 말하여 이르되, 파라오께서 이같이 말씀하시기를, 내가 너희에게 짚을 주지 아니하리니

11. 11 Go and get your own straw wherever you can find it, but your work will not be reduced at all."

    11 너희는 짚을 찾을 수 있는 곳으로 가서 주우라. 그러나 너희 일은 조금도 줄이지 아니하리라, 하시느니라, 하매

12. 12 So the people scattered all over Egypt to gather stubble to use for straw.

    12 이에 백성이 이집트 온 땅 전역에 널리 흩어져 짚 대신에 곡초 그루터기를 거두니라.

13. 13 The slave drivers kept pressing them, saying, "Complete the work required of you for each day, just as when you had straw."

    13 작업 감독들이 그들을 서두르게 하며 이르되, 짚이 있었을 때와 같이 너희 일 곧 너희의 당일 작업을 완수하라, 하고

14. 14 The Israelite foremen appointed by Pharaohs slave drivers were beaten and were asked, "Why didnt you meet your quota of bricks yesterday or today, as before?"

    14 또 파라오의 작업 감독들이 자기들이 백성 위에 세운 이스라엘 자손의 직무 수행자들을 때리며 요구하되, 너희가 어찌하여 어제와 오늘 벽돌 만드는 작업을 이전과 같이 다 완수하지 아니하였느냐? 하니

15. 15 Then the Israelite foremen went and appealed to Pharaoh: "Why have you treated your servants this way?

    15 ¶ 이에 이스라엘 자손의 직무 수행자들이 가서 파라오에게 부르짖으며 이르되, 왕께서는 어찌하여 왕의 종들을 이같이 대하시나이까?

16. 16 Your servants are given no straw, yet we are told, Make bricks! Your servants are being beaten, but the fault is with your own people."

    16 그들이 왕의 종들에게 짚을 전혀 주지 아니하고 우리에게 이르기를, 벽돌을 만들라, 하나이다. 보소서, 왕의 종들이 매를 맞았으나 그 잘못은 왕의 백성에게 있나이다, 하니라.

17. 17 Pharaoh said, "Lazy, thats what you are--lazy! That is why you keep saying, Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.

    17 그러나 그가 이르되, 너희가 게으르다. 너희가 게으르다. 그러므로 너희가 이르기를, 우리가 가서 주께 희생물을 드리자, 하는도다.

18. 18 Now get to work. You will not be given any straw, yet you must produce your full quota of bricks."

    18 그러므로 이제 가서 일하라. 너희에게 짚을 전혀 주지 아니할지라도 너희가 지정된 수효의 벽돌을 넘겨주어야 하리라, 하니

19. 19 The Israelite foremen realized they were in trouble when they were told, "You are not to reduce the number of bricks required of you for each day."

    19 이스라엘 자손의 직무 수행자들이, 너희의 당일 작업량 벽돌 수효에서 너희는 조금도 줄이지 말라, 하는 말을 듣고 자기들이 악한 상황에 빠진 줄을 깨달으니라.

20. 20 When they left Pharaoh, they found Moses and Aaron waiting to meet them,

    20 ¶ 그 사람들이 파라오에게서 물러날 때에 길에 서 있는 모세와 아론을 만나

21. 21 and they said, "May the LORD look upon you and judge you! You have made us a stench to Pharaoh and his officials and have put a sword in their hand to kill us."

    21 그들에게 이르되, 너희가 파라오의 눈앞과 그의 신하들의 눈앞에서 우리 냄새를 혐옷거리로 만들었으며 그들의 손에 칼을 주어 우리를 죽이게 하였으므로 주께서 너희를 보시고 판단하시기를 원하노라, 하니

22. 22 Moses returned to the LORD and said, "O Lord, why have you brought trouble upon this people? Is this why you sent me?

    22 모세가 주께 돌아와 이르되, 주여, 어찌하여 이 백성을 이같이 악하게 다루셨나이까? 어찌하여 나를 보내셨나이까?

23. 23 Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble upon this people, and you have not rescued your people at all."

    23 내가 파라오에게 가서 주의 이름으로 말한 때부터 그가 이 백성에게 악을 행하였으며 주께서도 주의 백성을 전혀 구출하지 아니하셨나이다, 하니라.
