요한계시록 17장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters.

   1 또 일곱 병을 가진 일곱 천사 중 하나가 와서 나와 이야기하며 내게 이르되, 이리 오라. 많은 물들 위에 앉아 있는 큰 음녀가 받을 심판을 내가 네게 보여 주리라.

2. 2 With her the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries."

   2 땅의 왕들이 그녀와 음행하였으며 땅의 거주자들도 그녀의 음행의 포도주에 취하게 되었도다, 하고

3. 3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.

   3 이렇게 그가 영 안에서 나를 광야로 데려가니라. 내가 보니 한 여자가, 신성모독 하는 이름들로 가득하고 일곱 머리와 열 뿔을 가진 주홍색 짐승 위에 앉아 있더라.

4. 4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries.

   4 그 여자는 가증한 것들과 자기 음행의 더러움이 가득 담긴 금잔을 자기 손에 가진 채 자주색 옷과 주홍색 옷을 차려입고 금과 보석들과 진주들로 꾸몄으며

5. 5 This title was written on her forehead: MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

   5 그녀의 이마에는 신비, 큰 바빌론, 땅의 창녀들과 가증한 것들의 어미라는 한 이름이 기록되어 있더라.

6. 6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.

   6 또 내가 보매 그 여자가 성도들의 피와 예수님의 순교자들의 피에 취하였으므로 내가 그녀를 보고 크게 놀라며 이상히 여기니

7. 7 Then the angel said to me: "Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

   7 그 천사가 내게 이르되, 네가 어찌하여 놀라느냐? 내가 그 여자의 신비와 그녀를 나르는 짐승 곧 일곱 머리와 열 뿔을 가진 짐승의 신비를 네게 말하여 주리라.

8. 8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come.

   8 네가 본 그 짐승은 전에 있었다가 지금은 없으나 앞으로 바닥없는 구덩이에서 올라와 멸망으로 들어갈 자니라. 땅에 거하는 자들로서 세상의 창건 이후로 생명책에 이름이 기록되지 않은 자들이 전에 있었다가 지금은 없으나 여전히 있는 그 짐승을 보고 놀라리라.

9. 9 "This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.

   9 여기에 지혜 있는 생각이 있으니 그 일곱 머리는 그 여자가 앉아 있는 일곱 산이니라.

10. 10 They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for a little while.

    10 또 일곱 왕이 있는데 다섯은 망하였고 하나는 있으며 다른 하나는 아직 오지 아니하였으나 그가 오면 반드시 잠시 동안 머물리라.

11. 11 The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.

    11 전에 있었다가 지금은 없는 그 짐승은 곧 여덟째며 그 일곱에 속한 자라. 그가 멸망으로 들어가느니라.

12. 12 "The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast.

    12 네가 본 열 뿔은 열 왕인데 그들이 아직 아무 왕국도 받지 못하였으나 그 짐승과 더불어 한 시간 동안 왕으로서 권능을 받으리라.

13. 13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast.

    13 이들이 한 생각을 가지고 자기들의 권능과 힘을 그 짐승에게 주리라.

14. 14 They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings--and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."

    14 이들이 어린양과 전쟁을 할 것이나 어린양께서 그들을 이기시리니 그분은 주들의 주시요 왕들의 왕이시며 또 그분과 함께 있는 자들은 부르심을 받고 선정된 신실한 자들이니라, 하더라.

15. 15 Then the angel said to me, "The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.

    15 또 그가 내게 이르되, 네가 본 물들 곧 음녀가 앉아 있는 물들은 백성들과 무리들과 민족들과 언어들이니라.

16. 16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

    16 네가 본 열 뿔 곧 짐승 위에 있는 이것들이 그 음녀를 미워하여 그녀를 황폐하게 하고 벌거벗게 하며 그녀의 살을 먹고 그녀를 불로 태우리라.

17. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until Gods words are fulfilled.

    17 이는 하나님께서 자신의 뜻을 이루시려는 것을 그들의 마음에 두사 그들이 동의하여 하나님의 말씀들이 성취될 때까지 자기들의 왕국을 그 짐승에게 주게 하셨기 때문이라.

18. 18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth."

    18 네가 본 그 여자는 땅의 왕들 위에 군림하는 저 큰 도시니라, 하더라.
