킹제임스 성경이 확산하면서 젊은이들 특히 음악을 하는 분들 가운데 여러 형제/자매님들이 성경의 진리 안으로 들어오고 있습니다. 이 일에 가장 앞장서는 그룹이 서울 논현동에 있는 한마음 미션입니다.

 

이번에 한마음 미션의 형제/자매님들을 주축으로 <I Am Melody 3>라는 귀한 앨범이 나왔습니다.

벌써 음악계에서 큰 히트를 치고 있는 것 같습니다. 

 

바라기는 이 앨범을 통해 성경 신자들의 믿음을 통해 킹제임스 성경 및 복음에 대한 확신이 널리 전파되기를 원합니다.

<I Am Melody 3>

 

나얼, 양파 등 한국 크리스천 가수들이
미국에 기독교 복음을 다시 전하기 위해 영어 찬송가를 내다!

 

한국에 복음을 전해준 미국과 영국은 과거 킹 제임스 성경과 청교도 신앙 위에 세워진 복음주의 기독교의 산실이었다.

 

하지만 현재 미국과 영국은 사회 전반에서 기독교적 가치관을 잃어가고 있다. 선교사들이 전한 복음 위에 세워진 한국 교회의 크리스천 가수들이 특별히 영어로 된 찬송가 앨범을 만든 데에는 미국과 영국에 다시 복음을 전하는 것에 그 의미가 있다.

 

이 앨범은 재즈피아니스트 곽윤찬이 프로듀싱 하여 [i am Melody] 라는 이름으로 1집과 2집을 발표하였으며 (나얼, 김범수, 정엽, 리사, 박지윤, 다이나믹 듀오, 조승우 등 참여) 새로 발매되는 3집 [i am Melody 3]는 특별히 전곡을 영어로 녹음하여 아이튠즈 등을 통해 10월 30일 국내와 해외에 동시 발매될 예정이다. 최고의 뮤지션, 사운드, 편곡 등 오랫동안 준비해 온 이 앨범은 크리스천은 물론 모든 사람들이 부담 없이 들을 수 있어 더욱 관심이 모아지고 있다.

 

[i am Melody 3]는 수백 년 전부터 전해져 온 전통적인 찬송가를 세계적인 드러머 Vinnie Colaiuta, 베이시스트 Abraham Laboriel 등 미국 현지의 아티스트들을 대거 참여시켜 만들었고, 한국에서는 지난 9월8일부터 가수 이정이 부른 <Faith Is The Victory>를 선두로 일주일에 한 곡씩 디지털 싱글 음원으로 발매 되고 있으며 특히 이번 참여 가수들은 일부 크리스천 연예인들과 함께 이번 앨범을 알리기 위해 오는 1월 뉴욕, LA 등 미국지역에서 공연을 가질 예정이다.

Naul, Yangpa and other Korean Christian singers
bring back the Gospel to America with English hymns

 

Korea’s evangelical Christian faith tradition traces its historical roots back to the American and British missionaries whose faith was established upon the King James Bible and Puritan principles. The pilgrims brought the gospel to America and later American missionaries influenced and evangelised Korea based on that faith. South Korea has been blessed by those missionaries and has grown faithfully in God, building churches and returning to God. On the other hand, both American and British societies today are losing their Christian values. The third “i am Melody” album is meaningful in that it is taking part in the mission to bring the gospel back to America and England by sharing English hymns recorded by Korean Christian artists.

This album was produced by jazz pianist Yoonchan Kwak. “i am Melody” 1 and 2 albums were released previously (Naul, Kim Bum Soo, Jung Yup, Lisa, Park Ji Yoon, Dynamic Duo, Cho Seung Woo, and others participated). This newly released third album contains all hymns sung in English and it will be available worldwide on October 30th via iTunes and other media. This album is the fruit of many hours of preparation by the best musicians, sounds, and arrangements, and its excellent quality invites Christians and non-Christian listeners alike.

“i am Melody 3” includes hymns that have been around for hundreds of years. Vinnie Colaiuta (drummer), Abraham LaBoriel (bassist), and other renowned American musicians participated in the making of this album. Starting on September 8th of 2015, digital singles from this album were released weekly with <Faith Is The Victory> sung by Lee Jung (singer) as the starter. The album’s participants and other Christian celebrities are planning to hold “i am Melody” concerts in New York and LA this coming January.
