저는 개인적으로 아르농쿠르판의 메시아를 즐겨 듣습니다 보이소프라노의 미성이 아주 마음에 듭니다. 독일인의 헨델과 영국국민의 영원한 친구 킹제임스성경과의 만남이군요 저도 메시아를 좋아하지만 킹제임스성경인지 몰랐습니다 잘듣고 갑니다~

아는 것이 힘입니다.   그런데 아직 신구약 성경 목록도 모르는 분들이 많습니다. 책들이 어디에 있는지도 모르니 어떻게 성경을 알 수 있을까요? 물론 어떻게든 찾아서 읽기만 하면 된다고 주장하는 분들에게는 할 말이 없습니다. 그러나 쉽게 찾을 수 있으면 더 좋겠지요. 성경이 무기라면 무기를 잘 다루는 것이 중요하지 않을까요?   한국에서 제작되는 성경은 대부분 반달 색인이 있습니다. 미국 성경에는 없는 것이 더 많습니다. 우리 출판사 성경도 90% 이상이 색인을 가지고 있습니다. 색인이 없으면 성경을 찾지 못한다고 하니 어쩔 수 없이 만들고 있습니다.   그러나 사실 이것은 문제입니다(이것은 제 편견입니다). 우리 아이들도 그렇게 되면 안 되는데 참으로 큰 걱정입니다.   성경목록가를 올립니다. 부디 인쇄해서 교회에서, 가정에서 따라서 부르고 외웁시다. 며칠 내로 성경 읽기표도 올릴 것입니다.   성경목록가   1. 창세기 출애굽기 레위기 민수기 신명기 여호수아 사사기 룻기 사무엘상하 열왕기상하 역대상하2. 에스라 느헤미야 에스더 욥기 시편 잠언 전도서 아가 이사야 예레미야 예레미야애가 에스겔3. 다니엘 호세아 요엘 아모스 오바댜 요나 미가 나훔 하박국 스바냐 학개 스가랴 말라기4. 마태 마가 누가 요한 사도행전 로마서 고린도전후 갈라디아서 에베소서 빌립보서 골로새5. 데살로니가전후서 디모데전후 디도서 빌레몬 히브리 야고보 베드로전후 요한일이삼6. 유다서 요한계시록 구약 삼십구 권에다 신약 이십칠 권으로 성경은 육십육 권이라.

음악적으로만 보아도 너무 놀라운 역작인 '메시아'의 오라토리오 대본이 킹제임스성경이라니 더욱 애정이 가네요. 현대화라는 미명하에 전자음에 너무 쉽게 의존하는 여타 CCM과 달리 클래식한 기본틀을 유지하는 것도 배울 점입니다. 잘 듣겠습니다.^^

메시아 음반이 여럿 있지만 그 가운데서 저는 일 년에 몇 차례 Gladys Knight이라는 흑인 여가수가 부르는 이 노래를 크게 틀어넣고 듣습니다. 온 몸에서 열정이 묻어나오기 때문에 너무 좋습니다.  잘 아시다시피 헨델의 메시아는 100% 영어 킹제임스 성경을 가사로 쓰고 있습니다.아주 복음적입니다. 그래서 일년에 몇 차례 들으면 참 좋습니다. 이사야서 40장 9절을 근거로 한 헨델의 메시아의 한 부분입니다. O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift [it] up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
